Migrant workers are special groups in the process of urbanization in China. They come from the countryside but mainly work in cities. They have dual identities and have made outstanding contributions to urban development. However, most of the migrant workers in the cities where they work are subject to social exclusion, and the resulting identity is misplaced. They are still agricultural hukou with peasant status, but they are engaged in non-agricultural work after entering the construction site. They are called "migrant workers" and are difficult to integrate into urban life and are accepted by local residents.Despite this,in order to make money,it is difficult to abandon the working environment and opportunities of the city, causing them not to return to the countryside and to fall into the embarrassing situation of the city.Such exclusion will increase social inequality, making the migrant workers unable to find a sense of belonging to the city and making it difficult to establish urban identity. This paper uses the 2014 national survey of the dynamic monitoring of mobile population dynamics, using binary logistic regression analysis, from the perspective of housing resource inequality,to study whether the housing differences of migrant workers in the workplace will significantly affect their urban identity.Explore the impact mechanism and propose relevant policy recommendations.Studies have shown that migrants with their own homes are more likely to have an identity, and migrants who rent private homes are less likely to have urban identity. From the ratio of housing rent to monthly income, the higher the relative expenditure of renting, the easier it is to generate identity. The living community of the floating population also has a significant impact.Among them, the institutional unit enterprise community and the economically affordable housing community have the most significant effect on the identity of the floating population.Other variables show that the longer the flow time, the more likely it is to interact with the locals, the more likely it is to generate urban identity, the stronger the willingness to stay, and the higher the self-social economic status, the more likely it is to generate urban identity. The older generation of migrant workers who have lived in cities for a long time are more likely to have urban identity than the new generation of migrant workers. Some demographic characteristics, such as years of education, whether or not a spouse has a certain explanatory power for urban identity. Therefore, housing policy is a new breakthrough in exploring how to solve the problem of migrant workers' urban identity. It is recommended to broaden the scope of policy-guaranteed housing, strengthen the urban housing security of migrant workers, enable them to develop steadily in the workplace, pay attention to the community construction of migrant workers, and reduce the spatial and psychological social distance.Only in this way Help them speed up the establishment of urban identity, better integrate into the city, and promote urbanization.
