In recent years,with the city's housing prices continue to rise housing problem has become an important issue of people's livelihood,it has been widespread concerned.And at the moment when the urbanization process is accelerating,more and more migrant workers entering the city from rural areas.Whether housing can significantly affect the subjective well-being of this group and the mechanism behind it is worth exploring and analyzing.The "happiness-income" paradox proposed by Eastlin pointed out that the increase in income does not necessarily lead to a continuous improvement in happiness.This article believes that happiness is affected by many factors,as a social mental phenomena,the subjective well-being will be influenced by the social standard of consumption and demand satisfaction.At this stage,in the case of migrant workers,the situation of housing consumption have a crucial impact on their well-being.The article uses multiple linear regression methods to analyze the impact of housing conditions on the happiness of migrant workers in the premise of controlling population and socioeconomic status.Data analysis shows that the housing conditions of migrant workers has a significant impact on their own well-being.The number of migrant workers' house in urban areas,the current housing quality and the proportion of housing expenditure to total expenditure have a significant impact on the happiness of migrant workers.Specifically,migrant workers who have more houses in cities or towns and whose current housing quality is high have a greater sense of well-being.On the contrary,high proportion of housing expenditure impact sense of well-being negatively.In addition,gender,age,marital status,health status,absolute income,and health care expenditure have a significant impact on the well-being of migrant workers.In terms of career,the self-employed group has a higher sense of well-being than the whitecollars,while the business service workers and industrial workers have no significant difference from the white-collars.
