As can be seen, the latest fertility policy has had a significant impact on the family structure, and as the number of family members grows, the interaction between members of the family would have become more complex.Since the announcement of the fertility policy, the issues on how to deal with the psychological and behavioral problems happened in the first child and how the parents should treat with the first child in the second child family have been highly on agenda.Among these, the concern about the selfish behavior of the first child which means unwilling to share with the second child is in particular. How to promote the first child's sharing behavior has also caught much attention from academic circles.According to previous researches,it is found that most of the researches mainly focus on the pro-social behavior of first-born child and little is conducted about the sharing behavior. In fact, the socialization of children is closely associated with their sharing behavior. In addition, improving children's sharing behavior plays a crucial role in promoting the socialization in children. In addition, little was conducted about the intervention of social work in firstborn children's sharing behavior from the perspective of rational emotive therapy model and mindfulness training. Therefore,"mindfulness training" is used as a way of intervention to enhance the first-born children's sharing behavior. The research aimed to improve the level of mindfulness of first-born children and their irrational beliefs is carried out.Participants are 57 first-born children in Yangzhou,Jiangsu Province.A pretest-posttest control group study design is utilized with five mindfulness trainings and the prosocial behavior scale, mindfulness level scale, sharing behavior measurement and future orientation scale were used to measure the level of mindfulness and first-born children's sharing behavior. Results indicate that mindfulness training is effective to enhance the sharing behavior of first-born children.Mindfulness training and rational emotive therapy focus on the cognition.Mindfulness training aims at improving the cognitive flexibility of the intervention and the formation of new cognition.Rational emotive therapy aims at improving the irrational beliefs and forming the new beliefs. There is possibility of combining between the two.The intervention of rational emotive therapy is in the former and the strengthening effect of mindfulness training is in the post, the two are complementary. There is necessity of the combination between the two. Finally,on the basis of research and analysis, this paper puts forward the combined intervention methods of mindfulness training and rational emotive therapy to improve the irrational beliefs of first-born children, and reflects on the innovations and limitations to be studied further.Innovations are mainly the research methods, experimental materials and research perspective.Besides, the research object, interview object and the applicability of the research tools are limited. The evaluation of intervention effect also needs to be clearer. How to improve the scientific nature and applicability of mindfulness intervention materials, how to expand the application field of mindfulness intervention and social work methods and how to carry out diverse researches for first-born child need to be furthered studied.
