Since the first time in 2006 to build a large social work talent team,China's social work has flourished and achieved some success in 10 years.With the central and local policy's encouragement and support,all kinds of social work service institutions are in rapidly expansion.Although social work organization industry has emerged a number of big social work agencies,there is a considerable part of the micro Small-scale social work institutions.Due to the reasons that they are in a shorter time,size and operating expenses are limited,they have trouble in undertaking projects,institutional operations and professional services faced with lack of resources,lack of capacity and other issues.At present,in the field of social work institutions,although there are some organizations involved in the organization of small start-up institutions,not a separate micro and small social workers to break down the discussion,the research of management of micro-social work agencies is minimal.The existence of micro social work agency has its special background,and it is the inevitable result of the development of social work.As the current concept of micro social work agencies are minimal,the author learn from the discussion of micro-enterprise,and reference to the definition of social work education association.The micro-social work agencies are defined as the establishment of time within 5 years,people are less than 20 people,the annual operating expenses of no more than I million yuan of social work services.According to this definition,taking into account the establishment of social workers,background,the main content of the service,the number of full-time social workers and the number of annual operating expenses,the study chose five social work agencies in Nanjing as the object of study.This paper analyzes the current situation of management of the five institutions,and by analyzing the management strategies and methods adopted in the organization,the paper finds out the problems and shortcomings in the management of the organization,and put forward some suggestions,and finally to further explore the management issues in micro-social work agencies.This paper discusses the management of micro social work institutions from three aspects:strategic management,financial management and human resource management.The main problems in strategic management are as follows.First of all,the mission and objectives of the social work agencies are not clear.The statements of the mission are too vague for people to understand.Besides,the aims of the organization are not clear.Then,the services are not enough focus on what the organization really need.At last,although there are some brand strategies,the content is relatively simple and unstable.The main problems in human resource management are as follows.Firstly,the micro social work agency is at shortage of professional social workers.It has difficulty in recruiting people and keeping people.On the one hand,the agency is not able to recruit the right professional social workers.On the other hand there exists a higher resignation rate of social workers.Secondly,the management efficiency of five micro social workers' managers is low,and the manager's management consciousness is weak,the ability is limited,and lack of organization operation and management.Finally,the micro social work agencies lack of training and supervision,including the lack of adequate awareness of supervision,and lack of the professional supervision power.The main problems in financial management are as follows.There is only one way to get enough money,and the project is the main source of funding for the agency.The financial management is not standardized,and it lacks professional full-time accounting.The process of managing money is more than casual.Besides,it does not have a unified management process and system,which should have had the use of funds,material allocation,notes finishing and reimbursement,etc.Finally,in view of some problems and shortcomings in the management of the micro social work agencies,the paper puts forward some countermeasures to improve the management from the aspects of the internal management mechanism and the external support environment.Specifically,the first way is to improve the manager's management capacity.Secondly,a clear development of strategic planning is necessary.The agency should focus on the institutional positioning,and focus on brand strategy.Thirdly,it is important to improve the internal management system.Fourthly,it is vital to pay attention to the allocation and management of human resources,particularly to strengthen the allocation of volunteer resources.The last way is to increase the external support system to the organization,which should promote the government and industry associations on the support of micro social work agencies.
