Women's Employment is an important representation of women's economic power and social status,the employment of women in our country has always been at a high level but the problem is still outstanding.Research of women's employment has always been the focus of scholars'attention,however,most studies on women's employment have remained at the level of sociology and economics.There is a lack of the relationship between women's employment and regional and spatial aspects at the spatial level.In the context of economic transition and rapid regional development,women are important parts of the labor force,and it is particularly important to pay attention to the distribution characteristics and influencing factors of female employment in space.Using the 2000-2015 population census and population sampling data,this paper explores the employment of women in Jiangsu from the perspective of spatial distribution and social differentiation on the basis of reviewing the existing literature,and explores its process of the evolution from the perspective of time.In the employment space,Jiangsu Province has already formed a clear pattern of differentiation.The employment density distribution of women is"higher in the South,lower in the North," and presents a single-centered employment structure.With the development,the employment center is moving in the direction of southern Shanghai.In terms of employment structure agriculture and the service industry have remained the main industries for women's employment,and the proportion of manufacturing industry has continued to increase in the subsequent development.On the whole,the female employment space structure has formed five types of areas represented by Nanjing,Suzhou and Xuzhou.In terms of the social characteristics of women's employment,the population-based social differentiation of female employment in Jiangsu Province shows the continuous improvement in the quality of the population,but the proportion of the population in the labor market is constantly declining.In the space,it also shows the accumulation of high-quality groups in the developed regions.The social differentiation of women in Jiangsu Province based on industrial classification has basically remained stable.The primary industry is a natural non-threshold industry,its employed population is characterized by high age and low education level.The second and third industries have certain requirements for the quality of women employed population,and they also show a conflict with employment in marriage.In view of the space and social of women's employment,this paper begins with the logic of"space construction-space influence-space choice" and explores the causes of women's employment space.This paper summarizes the influencing factors of women's employment space from the following aspects:the shaping of women's groups by individual social factors,the construction of employment space by urban development,and the mechanism of choice between space and individuals.The transformation of ideology and culture has played a certain role in promoting women's employment.However,traditional concepts still have certain constraints on women's employment and the choice of industries.The spatial differentiation of female employment depends to a certain extent on the level of urban development and the development of the industrial structure.The interaction between space and individuals constitutes the driving force for women's employment space.Finally,based on the above analysis,suggestions are made for the development of female employment.The whole thesis contains about 56000 words,39 pictures and charts.
