Female as an important sub group unit of the city society, after the reform and opening up is experiencing significant changes and facing new challenges. The majority of female become dual worker of family and work. The city's employment space directly affects the quality of women's life.Unfortunately,in fact the research of employment space and urban planning and construction rarely take female into account, ignoring the gender differences.Under the background of putting more emphasis on human being and their differences,it is necessary to study the employment space with the perspective of feminism.Wuhan is the core city in the central region, which devotes itself to the National Center City in the future.By analyzing the general employment characteristics and employment space characteristics of female in Wuhan, the idea of gender differences and differences equality is received more attention by human geography and urban planning circles,so as to achieve the goal of a better life in the city.About the general employment characteristics of female the paper mainly uses comparative analysis method to analyze the basic characteristics of female employment and commuting characteristics. The research draws the following conclusions:Women in the labor market is weak.Employment rate, labor participation rate, income level, education level are lower than men;Women's employment level is generally low and the internal has polarization; The third industry has become the main channel of women's employment;Female are more sensitive to commuting distance and commuting time.Female tend to choose a job which is near or cost short commuting time.Women usually choose public transport such as working, subway and bus;The jobs-housing balance of female as a whole is good and individual microscopic properties have a certain influence on the jobs-housing balance. This paper studies the two aspects of the employment spatial distribution and the job accessibility to analyse employment space characteristics of female in Wuhan. With the help of ArcGIS software, the paper use spatial statistical methods such as kernel density, standard deviational ellipse and buffer analysis study the spatial distribution of female employment. The results are as follows:Female employment has concentric clustering characteristics. The third industry of female employment space has a strong concentric clustering trend, however, the spatial distribution of female employment in the second industry has the characteristics of both central clustering and peripheral extension.Using the improved potential model and Gaussian based 2-step floating catchment area(2SFCA)method measure and compare the female job accessibility. The analysis results are as follows:The distribution of female job accessibility is uneven and the result of the streets is quite different; The accessibility of central city is better than the far cities' and we should actively promote the construction of economic growth of the far cities; The result of Gaussian based 2-step floating catchment area(2SFCA)method has revelatory influence on improving the job accessibility of female.Based on the empirical analysis of the general employment characteristics and employment space characteristics of female in Wuhan, this paper explores the influencing factors by the method of combining qualitative and quantitative analysis. The research draws the following conclusions:The distribution of female resident population and the distribution of industry directly affect the spatial distribution of female employment; There is a positive correlation between the density of urban road network, the degree of land use,the employment scale and female job accessibility.Based on the above research,in order to optimize the female employment space the paper puts forward the strategy about urban planning and construction and industrial development and layout.
