With the aging of our country and the change in family structure,the elderly's pension responsibilities gradually shift from family to community.Society is facing increasing pension demand and pension pressure.Therefore,the experience of professional social work services for the elderly in the community needs to be summed up and studied in response to the diversified and multi-level needs of the elderly.This paper adopts the method of case study,and select the elderly service of Guangzhou B family integrated service center as the research object.It aims to analyze the five years' community-based social work of the elderly,and to summarize its intervention process and strategies.In the course of the study,the author used the participatory observation,the literature method and the interview method to collect the data,first wrote the observation diary during the internship,and then collected the related service documents,research reports,self-evaluation report and other raw text materials,finally interviewed the social workers in the area of the elders and the relevant elderly residents.And the author log in,encode and classify the text materials.This paper uses the strengths perspective to analyze the elderly services of the B family integrated service center.By analyzing the collected text,the author considers that the intervention process of elderly service in the Bfamily integrated service centercan be divided into three progressive stages of intervention by time logic.They include the stage of enhancing the individual ability,promoting the community participation and integrating the ability of community group.According to the degree of ability,the social workers divided community elders into strong ability elders and weak ability elders.Based on this classification,social workers provide targeted services for the elderly at two different levels of demand.This paper expound and analyze the elderly service strategy of the B family integrated service center from the individual level,organizational level and community level.At the end of this paper,based on the elderly service of B family integrated service center,the author puts forward the intervention strategy of social work service of elderly in community under the strengths perspective.For the strong ability elderly,social workers gradually expand their capacity from the individual,organization,community three aspects,in order to promote their ability to serve the community and provide informal support for the weak ability elderly in the community to achieve self-fulfillment.For the weak ability elderly,social workers respond to their supportive needs b y digging out personal remnant ability,improving the family support network and building a community support network.The strategy starts from the complementary needs of different levels of competence to promote the participation of the elderly in the community and to promote and grow the individual's ability and community capacity.Finally,this paper discussed four insufficient of the practice: Elderly volunteer services face challenges in continuity;Lack of mining of material resources for the elderly;the lack of resource transfer mechanism for the weak ability elders;Failed to intervene in the needy families.And this paper also discussed the applicability and limitation of the above strategies.The strategies is applicable to community-based integrated elderly services,while it is difficult to respond directly to the needs of the elderly more in-depth.In addition,the strategies lack of exploring other community supportive resources.Hope that this service strategy can be the reference for the researchers and practitioners,and also can continue to be improved.
