Along with China's economic transformation and industrial structure upgrading,China's labor market has also changed,employment forms have become more diversified,and flexible employment has developed rapidly.However,there are still obvious wage differences between flexible employment and traditional employment.The development of flexible employment and related policies require more research.This paper explores the causes and mechanisms behind the differences caused by the study of wage differences between different employments.This paper uses the data from the 2010-2016 China Family Panel Survey to examine the differences and distribution differences between the wages of traditional employment and flexible employment.The results of mean regression and quantile regression show that there is a significant difference in the income of flexible workers and traditional workers,and there is a binary division in the labor market.The level of education has different degrees of promotion for the increase of wages for flexible workers and traditional workers.At the same time,there are gender differences and regional differences in wages between the two groups of employed people.And at different quantile levels,each factor has a different impact on wage differences.The results of wage differential decomposition show that compared with traditional employment,gender discrimination and household registration discrimination in the labor market in China are more serious in flexible employment.Employment discrimination in the labor market still exists;when income is low,flexible workers and The wage difference of traditional workers is the biggest.With the increase of the quantile level,the wage difference between flexible workers and traditional workers shows a downward trend.On the whole,the difference in human capital is the main cause of wage differentials between flexible and traditional workers.At the same time,as income levels increase,the impact of ownership discrimination decreases,and the difference in wages that can be explained becomes smaller.
