Historical cartoons are characterized by irony and image,time and appraisal.It can not only vividly depict the original appearance of historical events,but also reveal the characteristics of historical figures profoundly and vividly,and to some extent convey the author's emotions and attitudes.In the history teaching of middle school,historical comics is a learning resource that attracts students' attention.High school students who already have a history of junior high school knowledge are in a critical period of active thinking and rational thinking.Historical cartoons are in line with the cognitive characteristics of students at this stage.Therefore,the introduction of historical comics into the classroom can stimulate students' interest and enhance the effectiveness of classroom teaching.Based on the definition of historical comics,this study summarizes the characteristics and functions of historical cartoons.Through the student questionnaires and teacher interviews,this paper firstly understands the application of historical cartoons in high school history teaching,summarizes the reasons for this situation based on the survey results,and proposes corresponding strategies.It mainly explains the principles followed in the selection of historical comics and the skills that should be mastered in the interpretation;it focuses on the specific application of historical cartoons in the history teaching of high school,including applying historical comics to stimulate interest and solve difficult problems in the teaching process.Including the application of comics and post-class comics in teaching evaluation.A historical cartoon with clear picture,clear theme and profound meaning is a valuable historical material.However,due to the lack of ways for historical teachers to collect cartoons,the lack of understanding of historical cartoons,and the improper use of comics teaching methods,there are some problems in the development and use of comics.If history teachers only use comics to amused students and stimulate students' interest,it is not conducive to the lifelong development of students.Teachers should cultivate the historical core literacy of students by using the unique perspective of historical comics on the basis of fully understanding the educational value of historical comics.
