With the development of The Times,the concept of international education is gradually changing and updating.Cultivating students' key competencies has become the concept of current education reform,which poses new challenges to practice teaching in classroom.In the teaching process of biology in senior high school,the effective application of the auxiliary column "thinking and discussion" in textbooks can help stimulate students' interest in learning,sort out and consolidate knowledge,and construct the biological concept system better.It also helps to cultivate students' learning motivation and habit of deep thinking,discussion,exploration,communication and cooperation.Besides,It is helpful to achieve the key competencies of biology discipline.Therefore,how to effectively use the column of "thinking and discussion" to organize teaching,focus on establishing the internal relationship between the key competencies of biology discipline and classroom teaching,and comprehensively and effectively cultivate and develop the key competencies of biology discipline of students have become an urgent problem to be solved in practical teaching.This paper firstly analyzes the relevant literature using the method of literature research,systematically analyzes the key competencies of biology discipline and auxiliary columns of teaching materials,and comprehensively reviews them from different perspectives.Then,with the help of sample schools,the application status of "thinking and discussion" is investigated and analyzed from four dimensions,and the following problems are reflected: students are not so familiar with and interested in "thinking and discussion";The setting of some problems in this column is difficult;The effectiveness of classroom use of this column is not high;The application of this column is of great value in stimulating students' interest and promoting their thinking.Secondly,this paper analyzes the "thinking and discussion" of compulsory biological textbooks of the people's education edition in the current senior high school from the aspects of quantity(total numbers of "thinking and discussion" in the three compulsory modules are 48),distribution,characteristics,classification and function.The kind of "thinking and discussion" having the position after or in the middle of a certain conceptual content,is targeted;In the form of a question or a string of questions,is suggestive;The content is closed to the big concept of biology,is scientific and pertinence;Take the concrete life case as the material to presents the question,which is live and practical;It is exploratory to ask questions about the above experiments or materials.Creatively divided into six categories and they are things analogy and generalization,knowledge transfer and sublimation,phenomenon interpretation and analysis,essential reasoning and interpretation,enlightening thinking and creation,concept application and practice,respectively,and the role of each category was summarized and explained.Finally,the teaching strategies of this column are proposed from the perspectives of life concept,scientific thinking,scientific inquiry and social responsibility accordingly,and classroom teaching practice is also carried out.Typical cases in teaching are summarized and analyzed,and teaching practice is rethink.The results are as follows: teaching strategies are interrelated and come into effect gradually;Material in production and life is conducive to the achievement of training objectives;Creating a good classroom situation is conducive to changing students' attitude;Flexible processing related column content with "thinking and discussion",can be cut and transfer application.
