An Investigation Of College Students' Entrepreneurial Intention And Its Influencing Factors Based On TPB Theory

ObjectiveIn recent years,the number of college graduates has been rising.Self-employment can not only effectively alleviate the employment problem of college students,but also promote the economic growth of our country.In addition,with the introduction of a series of relevant policies of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation",how medical colleges and universities respond to the national call to comprehensively carry out innovation and entrepreneurship education for medical students has become a hot and key issue that needs to be discussed in depth.Therefore,this study based on the theory of foreign famous business model-TPB theories from the entrepreneurial attitude,subjective norm,perceived behavioral control,entrepreneurial competence and other multi-angle analysis of medical students'entrepreneurial intention and its influencing factors,not only helps to enrich the relevant theoretical research in the field of entrepreneurship in our country,also help for medical colleges to carry out the double gen education and related innovative entrepreneurial guidance to provide important theoretical guidance.MethodsFrom September to December 2018,976 sample data were collected by using convenient sampling method and combining online and offline methods.Epidata3.1 was used for data entry and SPSS21.0 was used for data processing.Cronbach' s was used to test the internal consistency of the questionnaire,Fator analysis was used to test the validity of the questionnaire structure,and item-domain correlation analysis was used to test the set validity and discriminant validity of the scale.Measurement data were statistically described by(x s),and counting data were described by composition ratio or percentage(%).In the case of homogeneity,two independent sample t tests were used for the two groups of measurement data,and one-way anova was used for multiple groups of data to analyze the entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurial competence of medical students with different demographic characteristics.When the variance is not equal,the rank-sum test is used for analysis.Finally,multiple linear regression is used to analyze the influencing factors of entrepreneurial willingness and entrepreneurial competence.ResultThe overall score of TPB scale was 2.54 0.63,entrepreneurial attitude was 2.99 0.78,subjective norms were 2.98 0.75,perceived behavior control was 2.05 0.76,and entrepreneurial intention was 2.30 0.80.The overall score of the entrepreneurial competency scale is 3.18 0.52,among which the highest score is self-cognition ability(3.73 0.66)and the lowest score is opportunity grasping ability(2.61 0.82).T test and variance analysis results show that the guangzhou medical university students to higher than that of guangzhou university of Chinese medicine,to men than women,for rural students to student nationalities is higher than the students for the students of the town during the period of school had a part-time experience,and entrepreneurial experience of college students' entrepreneurial intention,and the parents had entrepreneurial experience students entrepreneurial intention is higher,the difference had statistical significance(P<0.05).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that gender,part-time employment experience and entrepreneurship experience of relatives and friends had a positive impact on entrepreneurial intention in the dimension of personality characteristics(the influence coefficients were 0.117,0.107 and 0.093 respectively).Among the TPB variables,entrepreneurial attitude,subjective norms and perceived behavior control all positively affect entrepreneurial intention(the influence coefficients are 0.374,0.065 and 0.488 respectively).In the entrepreneurial competency dimension,only learning ability,opportunity grasping ability,self-cognition ability and determination have significant effects on entrepreneurial intention(the influence coefficients are 0.457,0.238,-0.088 and 0.068,respectively).Among them,the negative effect of self-cognition ability is that the stronger self-cognition ability is,the weaker entrepreneurial intention is.ConclusionAlthough the entrepreneurial intention of college students in the two medical colleges was at a low level,the study found that the more positive the entrepreneurial attitude,the more supportive the subjective norms and the stronger the perceived behavior control were,the stronger the entrepreneurial intention of students would be.On the other hand,the stronger the learning ability,the stronger the opportunity grasping ability and the more decisive the students are,the stronger the entrepreneurial intention will be.However,the students with strong self-cognition ability are weaker on the contrary,which requires the school to strengthen the guidance and correct the students' cognitive attitude.Based on this,some Suggestions are put forward:medical colleges and universities should innovate the forms of entrepreneurship education for college students and promote the construction of entrepreneurship education system;The government should further establish and improve the entrepreneurship policy system,improve the flexibility and pertinence of policies,and promote the implementation of policies.The social environment should strengthen entrepreneurship education,change the attitude of the masses to entrepreneurship,and create a good entrepreneurial atmosphere.
