Text reading refers to the understanding and interpretation.In Wolfgang Isel' view,text is characterized by certain gaps and negativity,which leads to some uncertainty in the text content.This uncertainty calls for and attracts readers to re-create the text in an open structure.Since Iser's theory of “calling structure” was introduced into China,it has provided a new perspective for reading teaching.From the perspective of “call structure”,how to deal with the relationship between text and teachers as readers,how to deal with the relationship between text and students as readers,how to deal with the “pre-structure” of understanding and the “blank” of text,and how to promote the text itself are be regarded as the basic reading teaching.It is necessary to cultivate students' imaginative thinking,creative thinking and critical thinking.Through explaining the concept and evolution of the “call structure” theory,it is concluded that reading teaching has the characteristics of openness,communication and constructiveness under the view of the “call structure” theory.From the three aspects of students,texts and teachers,this paper puts forward the strategies of Chinese reading teaching in middle schools under the theory of “call structure”: exploring the power of call based on students themselves;restoring the blank of call based on texts;deeply understanding the intention of call through dialogue.At the same time,the corresponding teaching cases are listed to further explain the aesthetic and practical significance of “call structure” in Chinese classroom teaching.Finally,in the reading teaching in Chinese middle schools under the “call structure”,the problems that should be paid attention to are summarized: teaching with criticalness but not blindly obedient and teaching with connotation but not mere formality.It is hoped that the research on this topic can play a role in promoting the teaching of Chinese reading in middle schools,so as to cultivate students' innovative consciousness,unique thinking and aesthetic interest,and improve their humanistic connotation.
