With the development of the times and the progress of science and technology,people's reading media have undergone profound changes,from traditional reading media such as newspapers,magazines,radio and television to digital reading media such as posting,blog,micro-blog and micro-letter."Reading screen" has changed the way and habit of reading.Under the background of self-media,how to carry out extracurricular reading education for middle school students,how to set up and utilize reading expectations,how to achieve efficient reading and how to conduct accurate reading evaluation deserve in-depth consideration and research.The author consults the literature,combines the domestic existing research results and his own analysis and thinking,defines the connotation of traditional reading and digital reading,summarizes and combs the characteristics of digital reading,and then inquires the cases of Chinese teaching or reading teaching by means of self-media,studies the unique advantages of digital media in extracurricular reading teaching,and establishes his own progress.One-step research direction is to develop secondary school students extracurricular reading education research using We chat platform as the digital media.In the research,the author uses questionnaire survey and individual interview as the means to explore the content,interest,purpose,habit and feeling of extracurricular reading of middle school students,statistics the time,energy,economy and emotional input of extracurricular reading,understand the influence of social,school,family and peer factors on students reading willingness,and collect the thoughts of Chinese teachers on extracurricular reading teaching extensively.And experience,a comprehensive analysis of the status of secondary school students extracurricular reading.In the follow-up study of the teaching method of extracurricular reading,the author takes the self-Media(We chat platform)as the medium to carry out the practice of extracurricular reading education.Guided by the research data and literature research results,the functional framework of the digital platform is determined,the selection criteria of reading teaching materials are formulated,the multi-dimensional evaluation mechanism of reading teaching is innovated,and the responsibilities and specific measures of schools,families and society in training middle school students extracurricular reading are put forward.In teaching practice,through the platform,reading experience demonstration and reading material sharing activities have been carried out,which has played a very good role in creating a strong reading atmosphere and guiding parents and children to read.The scientific and diversified reading materials selected by the platform greatly stimulate the reading interest of middle school students.Task-based reading experience helps students learn to make reading plans,develop good reading habits,and cultivate students self-monitoring ability.Generally speaking,in the course of the research,the author has built a good reading atmosphere for students,stimulated their interest in extracurricular reading,broadened the reading area and depth of middle school students,and then improved their reading autonomy and initiative,and found an effective way to cultivate students high-efficiency and high-quality extracurricular reading ability relying on self-media.Taking students as the main body to fully display students personality,so that students develop good reading habits,and ultimately realize students' self-supervision and self-reading,from "to read" to "love reading".
