Gratefulness is the outstanding traditional virtue of the Chinese nation,;the important part of the construction of social spiritual civilization,it is necessary for building a harmonious society.College students' grateful education is an important part of ideological and political education,especially important for colleges to create a campus culture while striving for a double top-class university.At present,universities and society pay attention to gratitude education,but in real life,many moral decline phenomena deviate from the target of gratitude education under the new situation.Although the United States has only a history of more than 200 years,its current economic status and comprehensive strength are ranked first,which is inseparable from its successful education.The United States attaches great importance to the grateful education of college students,and it is worthy of our reference in terms of content and methods of grateful education.Strengthening the grateful education of college students in China can not only promote the formation of good moral quality of college students,but also help realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation at an early date.This paper firstly combines the research results of Chinese and foreign scholars to expound the concept of gratitude and grateful education,summarizing the current theoretical research results from the filial piety theory of gratitude education,the theory of harmonious development of man and nature,and the theory of psychology.The United States,which has a history of more than 200 years,has formed a grateful education system with American characteristics and meeting its educational goals.On this basis,compare with American's gratitude education about the theoretical goals?contents and methods to find out the commonalities and differences.Through the analysis of the similarities and differences between Chinese and American college students' gratitude education,they insisted on taking the essence of their principles to abandon their dross,and dialectically learned from the successful experience of American gratitude education.Always adhere to the guiding position of Marxism in the goal,adhere to the political feature of the goal of gratitude education for college students.In terms of content,we need to root China's excellent traditional culture,learn from the experience of American grateful education,and enrich the content of grateful education in our country.In terms of methods,we need to innovate grateful education methods,broaden the channels of grateful education for college students,and form a synergy of gratitude education.Improving the level of grateful education for college students in China is conducive to improving the ideological and moral quality of Chinese college students,cultivating outstanding socialist successors,and laying the foundation for realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
