Research On The Current Situation,Problems And Countermeasures Of Students Upgrading

Higher vocational education is an important part of China's education system,which is closely related to the growth of national economy.Actually,vocational education in China has recently got a rapid development both in quantity and scale,but there is no essential development in quality,and its contribution to improving the quality of labor force is very limited.With the increasing popularity of education,lots of students are no longer satisfied with higher vocational education,but hope to obtain higher education through various ways,improve their skills and gain recognition from all walks of life.Starting from the perspective of higher vocational students,this paper adopts questionnaire survey and interview to investigate and study the demand of higher vocational students to improve their education,so as to understand the demand of students to continue their study and the influencing factors.This paper mainly studied the following questions(1)Learn whether higher vocational students want to continue their study after graduation,which way they choose to study and what factors they consider.(2)Learn about relevant policies for higher vocational students to study in the undergraduate section,and analyze the factors that hinder higher vocational students to study.(3)Learn about measures taken by colleges and universities for higher vocational students' further study.The study targets are the students of Suzhou Higher Vocational School who are from five different grades and six majors.What's more we use SPSS18.Oto run the procedures for descriptive statistics.The research shows that from the perspective of economic development and education development,as well as the needs of parents and students themselves,higher vocational students have a general need to improve their education.Social recognition,family factors and students' self-perception of education all affect students' decision on whether to continue their study.It can be seen from the survey that more than half of the students are willing to continue to study,but in fact the policy restrictions of the lack of access to further study,too small proportion of students,narrow specialty and so on are in conflict with the strong demand of students.This paper puts forward some countermeasures for higher vocational students from the aspects of students,schools and society,so as to meet the needs of students.Students need to plan their career as early as possible,define learning objectives,improve learning confidence and set up the concept of lifelong learning.In terms of universities,higher vocational colleges should actively contact with undergraduate universities,open up channels for upgrading,develop connecting courses for upgrading,and improve the teaching quality of education.The society should establish perfect special financing education system,broaden the selection mechanism and expand the number of students.
