Study On The Influencing Factors And Willingness To Work In Agricultural-related Areas Of Agricultural-related College Students

In the 19 th session of National Congress of CPC,it is clearly stated that the implementation of the Rural Revitalization Strategy has resulted in more local talents.As a big agricultural country,China has focused on the issues concerning agriculture,countryside and farmers for sixteenth year since 2003.College student's choice of agriculture-related job is an important part of improving the strategy of rural revitalization.It not only provides intellectual support for rural revitalization,but also helps to promote the employment of College students,thus alleviating the imbalance between urban and rural development in China.Agricultural-related college students are the counterparts of the implementation of the Rural Revitalization Strategy.It is of great practical significance to analyze their employment intention and put forward suggestions.On the basis of literature review at home and abroad,this paper determines the core factors and basic ideas around this paper.A questionnaire survey was conducted among 550 students from four major agricultural-related universities in Sichuan Province,including Sichuan Agricultural University,Southwest University of Finance and Economics,Chengdu Vocational College of Agricultural Science and Technology,Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences(with the joint training system of universities),and 491 valid data were collected.The questionnaire is based on the expectation of agricultural-related jobs of agricultural-related college students and the diversified adjustment of rural industry development mode under the implementation of the Rural Revitalization Strategy in the new era.Based on the comprehensive analysis of theoretical combing and survey status,six hypotheses were put forward,and a binary logistic regression model is constructed to further verify the influencing factors of agricultural-related jobs intention of agricultural-related College students.The empirical results show that:(1)Family income of the students from agriculture-related majors,has a significant impact on their willingness to work in agriculture-related areas.Moreover,the higher income the family gets,the lower the willingness of these agricultural-related college students to work in agriculture.(2)Family habitat of agricultural-related college students has a significant impact on their willingness to engage in agricultural jobs.When agricultural-related college student lives in rural areas,they are more willing to engage in agricultural jobs.(3)Parent's attitudes towards agricultural jobs of agricultural-related majors significantly affected their children's willingness to engage in agricultural jobs.When parents support their children more to work in agriculture-related areas,their children show a higher willingness to engage in agriculture-related jobs.(4)Since the implementation of Rural Revitalization Strategy,the economy and style of rural society have been developed in an all-round way,and the welfare brought by Rural Revitalization Strategy has greatly enhanced the willingness of agricultural-related college students to obtain jobs.(5)In the context of the implementation of Rural Revitalization Strategy,educational background and whether a family member is engaged in agricultural-related work can't significantly affect the willingness of agricultural-related jobs of agricultural-related College students.The following policy recommendations are proposed: first,actively guide the agricultural-related college students to establish a correct concept of career choice.Secondly,optimize the attraction strategy for the differences in the permanent residence of agricultural-related college students.Third,guide the attitude of parents of agricultural-related college students to their career choices.Fourth,strengthen the understanding of the Rural Revitalization Strategy for agricultural-related college students.Fifth,promote the improvement of the personal qualities and abilities of college students.
