At present,with the continuous progress of modern production industrialization and urbanization,excellent human resources of the primary industry flow into the cities and the secondary and tertiary industries on a large scale,and the problems of "hollowing out" and "aging" in rural areas become more and more serious.The lack of high-level agricultural industry professionals has become a fatal short board in the development of agricultural modernization At present,solving the problem of "who will farm" is the most worthy of study and response.In 2012,No.1 central document of China put forward for the first time that we should promote the cultivation of new occupation farmers,improve the overall quality of agricultural human resources and optimize the allocation structure of agricultural human resources.The new professional farmer is a group with higher cultural level,better physical quality,higher political consciousness,advanced concept consciousness and good spirit of reform and innovation.It is no longer the traditional farmer image in the past social cognition,but a new professional image.The college students cultivated through the higher education system,especially the college students majoring in agriculture,match the requirements of the new professional farmers in terms of cultural literacy,management knowledge,innovation ability and professional skills.Therefore,guiding college students to become new professional farmers can not only further solve the problem of low overall number of employees in agricultural industry,but also ensure the sustainable and rapid development of modern agriculture.By means of questionnaire and face-to-face interview,this paper investigates 286 agricultural college students from 8 universities in Henan Province,and hypothesizes the factors that affect their willingness to choose jobs from five aspects: basic personal characteristics,family situation,professional learning situation,cognition of new professional farmers and job preference.In this paper,descriptive analysis of the survey data is used to determine that personality characteristics,family support,professional learning and practice,the degree of influence on personal long-term development,the level of rural economic development,the degree of influence of social prejudice,the degree of cognition of new professional farmers and other factors have a significant impact on the employment intention of agricultural college students.Finally,according to the results of data analysis,this paper puts forward corresponding suggestions and countermeasures from the following aspects: creating a good public opinion environment,emphasizing farmers' professional identity;improving rural life and production conditions,increasing farmers' economic income;colleges and universities should integrate teaching resources,increasing agricultural practice education;guiding agricultural college students to establish correct professional values and life values.
