Higher vocational education is the product of higher vocational colleges that began in the 1980 s in China.This concept is of Chinese characteristics.Internationally,vocational education and vocational college is widely used in foreign countries and their connotations are different from our higher vocational education and higher vocational colleges in China.In the past 10 years,our government has given various policy supports to higher vocational colleges for new era's the needs of economic and social development,China's higher vocational education has achieved unprecedented development.However,it should also be noted that with the continuous adjustment of China's economic structure,the demand for talents from higher vocational colleges has also changed.These changes require higher vocational colleges pay more attention to optimizing the talent training models,improving the quality of teaching and all-around abilities of students.With the release of the Notice on the teaching Diagnostic and Improvement System of vocational colleges by the General Office of the Ministry of Education,all higher vocational colleges,especially experimental ones have further implemented the teaching diagnosis and improvement work by establishing a perfect teaching diagnosis and improvement system involved five aspects of normalization of “self-diagnosis and improvement” about management,majors,courses,teachers and students.In these five major aspects of diagnosis and improvement,the one for the development of students has a key guiding significance to the work spirit of implementation of diagnosis and improvement work,fulfilling the fundamental task to foster students' character and civic virtue,strengthening the supervision of the quality of talent cultivation and improving the students' satisfaction of “diagnosis and improvement” work and personal development.In this paper,Literature analysis,interviews and surveys,questionnaires and other relevant research methods were utilized.First of all,the literature analysis method was used to sort out and analyze the existing research results of teaching and learning diagnosis and improvement.Secondly,an interview survey was conducted among the implementers of the reform work,the functional department heads,and the teachers and students representatives.Finally,300 students are randomly selected to finish the self-test questionnaire,the collected data were statistically analyzed to further comprehend the problems in the development and improvement of student development in T vocational colleges.Through the investigation,some problems were found in the diagnosis and improvement of students in T higher vocational colleges,First,the school leaders' and department heads' misunderstanding of the diagnosis and reform.Second,the bottleneck of the construction of the digital quality diagnosis platform.Third,lack of the enthusiasm due to workload of teachers;the forth is that the lack of motivation due to traditional concept;the fifth is the students' partial awareness of the diagnosis and reform;the sixth is that the self-test data is not true.In order to solve these problems,the following suggestions were made from the school authorities,teachers and students.Firstly,the school authorities should try to improve the teachers' and students' awareness of diagnosis and reform to promote the development of diagnosis and reform of students,enhance students' active awareness of training and development abilities by attaching importance to training,attach importance to the scientific nature of diagnosis and reform results,promote the construction of diagnosis and reform work platform to give play to the incentive-oriented function of diagnosis and reform.Secondly,teachers should focus on the people of moral,and strengthen the mission of educating people.Leading the construction of class culture,guiding students to be positive;grasping the construction of the style of study,establishing an incentive and restraint mechanism;cultivating the awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship,optimizing the practice teaching plan;learning and understanding the significance of diagnosis and reform,and effectively implementing the diagnosis and reform measures.Last,the student level must correctly understanding themselves and rationally plan the development goals.Positioning itself,establishing a concept of integrity,rationally planning goals,and correcting attitudes to study.
