With the progress of science and technology,cyberbullying has become more and more common.Compared with traditional bullying,cyberbullying is more dangerous and difficult to contain.Cyberbullying is caused by the interaction of external environmental variables and internal psychological variables.This study focused on the relationship between the basic empathy of the parenting style of fathers and cyberbullying of middle school students,analyzed the environment and psychological mechanism behind cyberbullying,and provided effective evidence for the positive and effective intervention measures for adolescent cyberbullying behavior.Selecting six grade of senior high school students in Yichang as the research object,700 questionnaires were distributed at different times,the validity of the measurement data before and after the contrast and eliminate invalid questionnaire,a total of 544 questionnaires were recorded,uses “the questionnaire of the European network bullying intervention project”,"the basic empathy scale" and "the Alabama parenting questionnaire” was measured.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)boys have more poor parental supervision and inconsistent parental discipline than girls;Fathers physical punished boys more than girls.The ability of cognitive empathy and affective empathy of male students is lower than that of female students.The only child's mother participation and mother positive upbringing more than non-only child;The parents of teenagers living in the city have more positive parenting behaviors than those living in the countryside.The cognitive empathy ability of urban adolescents is higher than that of rural adolescents.Parents' participation and positive parenting of un-left-behind teenagers are higher than that of left-behind teenagers.The parental supervision of un-left-behind teenagers is lower than that of left-behind teenagers;Positive parenting takes an inverted U shape,peaking in junior Three and senior one,then gradually declining.As grades rise,parents' poor supervision and inconsistent discipline will gradually increase.Senior three studentshave higher cognitive empathy and emotional empathy than other students.(2)The correlation between parenting style and cyberbullying/being bullied showed that there was a significant positive correlation between poor supervision,inconsistent discipline and corporal punishment of fathers and cyberbullying.Poor supervision,inconsistent discipline and corporal punishment of mothers were significantly positively correlated with cyberbullying.The correlation between parenting style and basic empathy showed that There was a significant positive correlation between paternal involvement,paternal active parenting and cognitive empathy and affective empathy.There was a significant negative correlation between poor paternal supervision and cognitive empathy and affective empathy.There was a significant negative correlation between corporal punishment and cognitive empathy.There was a significant positive correlation between maternal involvement and positive parenting and cognitive empathy and affective empathy.There was a significant negative correlation between poor maternal supervision and cognitive empathy and affective empathy.There was a significant negative correlation between maternal corporal punishment and cognitive empathy.Related results of basic empathy and cyberbullying/being bullied:Cognitive empathy was negatively correlated with cyberbullying/being bullied.Emotional empathy was significantly negatively associated with cyberbullying.(3)Cross lag regression analysis showed that parental corporal punishment had a negative predictive effect on cyberbullying bullies,and cyberbullying bullies could not predict parental corporal punishment.Parental involvement had significant positive predictive effect on affective empathy,but affective empathy could not significantly predict parental involvement.Father's positive upbringing had positive prediction effect on affective empathy,but affective empathy could not predict parental corporal punishment.Mother's positive parenting could not predict emotional empathy,and emotional empathy could not predict mother's positive parenting.Poor parental supervision had a negative predictive effect on cognitive transference,but cognitive transference could not predict poor parental supervision.Regression analysis showed that the main variable for predicting individual cyberbullies was parentalcorporal punishment.(4)The mediating effect analysis shows that cognitive empathy plays a complete mediating role in the influence of fathers' participation on cyberbullying.Cognitive empathy plays a complete mediating role in the influence of fathers' participation on cyberbullies.Emotional empathy cannot be an intermediary for fathers to participate in cyberbullying;Cognitive empathy plays a mediating role in the influence of poor supervision of fathers on cyberbullying.Cognitive empathy plays an intermediary role in the influence of poor supervision of fathers on cyberbullies.Emotional empathy plays a partial mediating role in the influence of poor supervision of fathers on cyberbullying,but it cannot play a mediating role in the relationship between poor supervision of fathers and cyberbullies.Basic empathy cannot play an intermediary role in the relationship between positive parenting of fathers and cyberbullying.Basic empathy could not play an intermediary role in the relationship between incongruent parenting and cyberbullying.Basic empathy cannot play an intermediary role in the relationship between father's corporal punishment and cyberbullying.
