In the new era,the party and government constantly put forward a series of new ideas,new decisions and new arrangements for conducting national unity education,which comprehensively and systematically deepen the connotation of national unity education.The ideological system and theoretical framework for the cause of national unity and progress have gradually taken shape.One of the important part of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era is to take every efforts to promote national unity and progress.Elementary education is the “jointing-booting stage” of teenagers.Therefore,it is very important to pay special attention to national unity education in elementary education stage.By using the two schools in Enshi city as samples,this thesis starts from the basic concepts,combines the theory of the pattern of diversity in unity and the construction of the common consciousness of the Chinese National Community,analyzes the current situation of the curriculum construction of national unity education of the two sample schools according to the Guideline for Education of National Unity in Schools(Trial Implementation)and relevant policy documents of the local educational departments in Enshi city in the perspective of curriculum construction,summarizes achievements,finds out the problems,so as to put forward the methods of optimization strategy of improving the curriculum construction of national unity education in primary and middle schools through careful analysis of the problems of the curriculum construction of national unity education and their causes in the sample schools.This thesis is composed of four chapters.The first chapter is the core concepts and theoretical basis.The core concepts respectively explain the connotation of curriculum construction and national unity education so as to clearly explain the main elements of curriculum constructions to readers.The curriculum concepts of national unity education are the theory of the pattern of diversity in unity and construction of the common consciousness of the Chinese National Community.Elaborating on this part helps clarify the goal of national unity education.The second chapter describes the current status of national unity education in the sample schools,which is also the core part of this thesis.This chapter aims to give the readers an objective understanding of the actual implementation of national unity education curriculum through combing the main elements of the curriculum construction of national unity education and conducting face-to-face questionnaire survey and interviews on the curriculum construction of national unity education with primary and middle school students and teachers in ethnic regions,and to effectively analyze the curriculum of national unity education through objective analysis of the questionnaire in a quantitative approach.Based on objective description,the third chapter is to put forward the problems of national unity education in the sample schools and to further explore the reasons of the problems.The forth chapter is to further put forward reasonable strategy for the national unity education curriculum in primary and middle schools in Enshi city by using the curriculum theory and the theory of curriculum management in actual conditions.The innovation of this thesisare as follows: Firstly,through analyzing the ethnic unity curriculum in the perspective of the comprehensive curriculum system,this thesis can locate the core the problems of curriculum and enhance the pertinence and effectiveness of curriculum by evaluating the implementation of national unity education in elementary education.Secondly,national unity education curriculum is very theoretical.Most of the studies on national unity education are from the theoretical standpoint,and pay very less attention to the “voice” of the actual practitioners of national unity education curriculum.What kind of theory is needed to support the practice of national unity education curriculum? How do you turn theory into operational practice? This thesis starts with the main elements of the curriculum by analyzing the typical examples,so as to put forward a referential model for practitioners to transform theory into practice.The inadequacy of this thesis is the combination of point-line-surface.The author studies on the implementation of national unity education in primary and middle schools by using two schools as samples.Although the two sample schools are quite representative,there still exists the problem of imbalance of education resources,social resources and human resources between different regions.So there will be certain differences in the implementation of curriculum construction.Therefore,it is important to further study on micro course teaching,and to work out targeted suggestions and optimization strategy by combining with actual condition and properly dealing with the relationship between “particularity” and “universality”.
