After the reform and opening up,the urbanization process of China has been obviously accelerated. However, with the rapid progress of urbanization, problems in the process of urbanization have become increasingly prominent. Many of the problems exposed are related to the incoordination between population and land urbanization. This uncoordinated situation has become a bottleneck for the further development of China's urbanization, which needs to be addressed.Based on the national strategy of "the rise of central China",the central region of China,as an economically underdeveloped region,is relatively backward in the development of urbanization and is now in a critical period of promoting urbanization. Therefore, the research on the coordinated development of population and land urbanization in the central region of China is of great guiding significance for accurately grasping the current status of urbanization in the central region of China and guiding the healthy development of future urbanization. There are 80 prefecture-level cities in the central region of China, the development levels of population urbanization and land urbanization are quite different, and the development are not coordinated. Therefore,it is appropriate to take them as research areas.Firstly, the connotation and related theories of population urbanization and land urbanization are studied.Secondly, the history and current situation of population urbanization and land urbanization in the central region are evaluated and analyzed. Finally, the coordinated development status of population-land urbanization in the central region from 2010 to 2016 was evaluated. The deviation coefficient method and Arcgis geospace analysis method were used to present the coordination level and imbalance types of population-land urbanization in the central region, and the panel data were compared and analyzed.under the provincial and prefecture-level scales, evaluate and analysis population land urbanization development level and the coordinated development situation, and the influence factors are analyzed.Research shows that:?.Development level of population urbanization and land urbanization: from2010 to 2016,the population urbanization and land urbanization level in central China have been increasing year by year, which is lower than the national average level for a long time, but the gap is not big.The urbanization gap among the six provinces has been stable for a long time.Among the six central provinces,Hubei has the leadingpopulation urbanization level, while Henan has the lowest urbanization level in the central region. The urbanization level has long been in the backward position in the central region, far lower than the national average level.Among the six provincial capitals, the provincial capital of Zhengzhou in Henan has the weakest driving effect, which needs to improve its level of urbanization aggregation effect. The land use structure in the central region still needs to be constantly optimized, and the output per unit of land keeps increasing.?.Overall evaluation of coordinated development: from 2010 to 2016,the urban population and urban built-up area in central China increased year by year, and the population urbanization and land urbanization in central China were in a fluctuating state of slight imbalance, moderate imbalance, slight imbalance, coordinated development and moderate imbalance in 2010 to 2016.From 2010 to 2016,the imbalance level of population urbanization and land urbanization in central China was Hunan < Jiangxi < Henan < Shanxi < Hubei < Anhui from low to high, and the imbalance level of population urbanization and land urbanization in central China was Hunan < Jiangxi = Hubei < Anhui < Shanxi < Henan from low to high in 2016.?.The space-time analysis of coordinated development:first, the population urbanization growth rate, land urbanization growth rate and imbalance degree of 80prefecture-level cities were classified. The study found that the prefecture-level cities in central China, accounting for 77.5%,are in the state of unbalanced development of population urbanization and land urbanization, and the prefecture-level cities, accounting for 78.75%,are in the state of population urbanization lagging behind land urbanization. At last, the level and subclass of unbalance are analyzed and determined.?.Factors influencing coordinated development: through the construction of multiple regression model,it is found that the growth rate of the proportion of primary industry in GDP in the six years from 2010 to 2016 has significant positive impact on the coordinated development level of the overall population-land urbanization in the central region. The growth rate of the number of industrial enterprises above the quota, the growth rate of the revenue within the local fiscal budget, the growth rate of the proportion of employees in the secondary industry, and the growth rate of the total retail sales of consumer goods have significant negative impact on the coordinated development level of the overall population-land urbanization in the central region. In the provincial research, there were significant differences in the influencing factors of regional coordinated development.Based on the above conclusions,it can be seen that the urbanization development of population and land in most areas of the central region is not coordinated, and the urbanization development speed and coordinated development level of various provinces and cities have obvious regional differences.Based on this, three countermeasures are proposed: first, improve the relevant systems, including financial system, household registration system and supporting system;Second, improve the level of land and urban planning;Third, increase urban value and create more jobs in many ways.
