Basic education resources are an important condition for the development of basic education which is the foundation of education.Nowadays,the spatial allocation of basic education resources has become a major social hot topic in China.This thesis collected panel data that can be used to evaluate basic education resources in the past 14 years.By using literature review method,projection pursuit method,comparative analysis method,exploratory spatial statistical analysis method,regression analysis method,this thesis illustrates the education scale,teacher strength and funding input.Furthermore,it analyzes the spatial and temporal distribution of China's basic education resources and its influence factors from the dimensions of the national,seven geographical divisions and provincial and municipal scales.The research results are as follows:(1)The research shows that the basic education resources of each city distribute dispersedly and is positive correlated in general.Those cities with abundant education resources gather intensively in part and vice versa.There is a mismatch between the different indicators of a single dimension and between the different dimensions of the basic education resources of the same city.(2)The overall level of China's basic education resources has shown a significant upward trend during from 2003 to 2016.Among them,the cities with the fastest development and the highest level are mainly distributed in the Pearl River Delta Urban agglomeration,the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration,the Chengdu-Chongqing Urban Agglomeration and the Shandong Peninsula Urban Agglomeration.Therefore,the development speed of the three dimensions of basic education level is not synchronized.The development level of basic education resources in different cities is unevenly distributed and the development speed is different from the perspective of space.(3)The unbalanced spatial and temporal distribution of China's basic education resources is related to the spatial distribution of population,levels of economic development and government investment.(4)The impact factors of each city have a different influence on the level of local basic education resources in different years.Therefore,this thesis provides the following five suggestions,hoping to provide decision-making reference for the balanced allocation of basic education resources in China.Firstly,it is proposed to formulate local education assistance policies to achieve the common development of basic education.Secondly,it is necessary to identify the main contradictions and carry out ?targeted poverty alleviation? of basic education resources.Thirdly,the forecast of future school-age population should be strengthened and basic education resources should be managed reasonably.Fourthly,responsibilities of local government should be clearly confirmed.Last but not least,educational policies should favor rural areas.
