Teachers' occupational stress has become a topic of general concern to all sectors of society.It is an indisputable fact that teachers' occupational stress is too heavy.Teachers' mental health directly affects students' mental health,and pupils are the key period of physical and mental development,and also the initial stage of the formation of world outlook and outlook on life.Teachers' exemplary status is determined by teachers orientation.Therefore,it is of great significance to pay attention to the investigation of primary school teachers' occupational stress and stress sources,and to put forward appropriate strategies,whether for promoting teachers' mental health or improving the quality of education and teaching.This study investigates 300 primary school teachers in Futian District.Through statistical analysis of the survey data,the conclusions are as follows:1.The occupational stress of primary school teachers in Shenzhen is generally above the middle level,and compared with the longitudinal research,the occupational stress of primary school teachers in Shenzhen is gradually decreasing;compared with the horizontal research of primary and secondary school teachers in other cities in China,the occupational stress of primary school teachers in Shenzhen is relatively good.Generally speaking,the development direction of occupational stress of primary school teachers in Shenzhen is downward.2.The occupational stressors of primary school teachers in Shenzhen mainly cover five sources,which are also different from those of primary and secondary school teachers in other cities.The order of stress sources from big to small is: economic factors(4.19),career expectation(3.49),social evaluation(3.49),school support(3.01),school management(2.85).Economic stress is the biggest source in Shenzhen.3.The characteristics of occupational stress and stressors of teachers with different characteristics:(1)Generally speaking,gender,educational background,teaching age,working status and whether a head teacher are the characteristic stressors of demographic variables of primary school teachers in Shenzhen.These demographic variables show significant differences in different occupational stressors.(2)Male teachers are more stressed than female teachers in school management.(3)College-educated teachers have the greatest social and economic pressures.Social evaluation and economic pressures decrease with the increase of academic qualifications.The lower their academic qualifications,the greater their social evaluation and economic pressures.(4)There are significant differences in career expectations and social evaluation stressors among teachers of different teaching ages.New teachers with teaching age less than 5 years and teachers with teaching age of 16-20 years,especially those with teaching age of 16-20 years,have a high level of professional expectations,school support,economic factors and social evaluation pressure.(5)Although professional title is not a significant factor affecting the occupational stress of primary school teachers,the social evaluation pressure of secondary professional title teachers is the greatest.(6)The pressures of temporary teachers on economic factors are higher than those of editorial teachers,but on school management,the professional pressures of editorial teachers are higher than those of temporary teachers.(7)In terms of school management stressors,the occupational stress of class teachers is significantly higher than that of non-class teachers.
