As a major disease type threatening the safety of human life, patients with chronic diseases should not only experience high pressure and high-risk living conditions, but also adapt to the environment and self-adjustment in long-term treatment and rehabilitation. Therefore, the chronic disease treatment mode has also changed from hospital short-term treatment to the chronic disease management mode of "medical care + social workers + psychologists".A number of studies have shown that a high level of mental resilience helps patients with chronic diseases cope with the pressure and challenges brought by diseases, and helps improve the quality of life and social adaptability of patients with chronic diseases. With the increasing number of social problems caused by chronic diseases in China,it is worth paying attention to how medical social workers intervene in chronic patients to improve their mental resilience.Starting from the theory of positive psychology and from the perspective of psychological resilience, this paper adopts the method of combining quantitative research with qualitative research to carry out the research work.Eight medical social workers in chengdu were selected for structural interviews, and 292 questionnaires on mental resilience of chronic patients in hospitals were collected to explore the influencing factors of mental resilience of chronic patients and the intervention methods of medical social workers. The findings of this study are as follows: 1.The level of mental resilience is an important factor concerned by social workers.2.The influencing factors with statistical significance on the mental resilience level of patients with chronic diseases include: the patient's disease status, occupation and social security status, sense of hope, family relationship, friend relationship and social support degree.3.Social workers can improve the psychological resilience of patients through services. The intervention points include psychological support, family relationship, peer support and social support.4.Currently,the intervention of social workers in patients with chronic diseases helps to improve their sense of hope and social support.5.At present, social workers have little influence on the mental resilience level of patients with chronic diseases,so social workers also need to improve their service ability,so as to provide more effective services for patients with chronic diseases. In order to improve the service ability of social workers' psychological resilience,it is suggested that medical social workers should strengthen the theory and practice, strengthen the cognition of psychological resilience, attach importance to family social work service, strengthen the social support network of patients and enhance the sense of hope of patients in the future.
