Maker education was born with maker culture,and the combination of maker education and elementary education broke out the new vitality of education and technology.The roles of students and teachers under the maker education model are reshaped,which injects new ideas of more vitality and openness into the teaching of primary and secondary schools,and brings new power of scientific and technological innovation.The emergence of Arduino platform makes open source hardware-oriented programming education a new development direction of maker education.The emergence of open source hardware platform greatly reduces the threshold of scientific and technological innovation,providing the support of hardware for maker education in primary and secondary schools.The abstract logical thinking of students in primary school develops gradually,which is an effective stage for the enlightenment of programming education and innovative thinking training.How to integrate the programming education of open source hardware in primary schools in an effective way and how to cultivate innovative thinking and creative ability have become the focus of scholars,which is also the problem of this paper.More and more attention has been paid to the combination of maker education and new learning concepts,such as project-based learning,design-based learning and Situated learning.The purpose and innovation of this paper is to innovate the teaching model of maker education in primary schools under the guidance of new learning concepts such as project-based learning,design-based learning and Situated learning,and to design a series of cases to put into practice.The contents of this research are as follows:Firstly,by analyzing the current situation and theoretical basis of maker education at home and abroad,the innovation points of maker education model are determined.Secondly,a teaching model about maker education for elementary schools based on Arduino platform is built.The theoretical basis,instructional objectives,operating procedures,conditions for realization,teaching evaluation are specified.Finally,on the basis of this model,a series of teaching cases of graphical programming are designed and implemented.According to the effect of implementation,the adjustment and improvement of the teaching model are carried out,and the creativity level of students is testedbefore and after the implementation of the teaching model,proving the effectiveness of the teaching model.This study mainly adopts the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey and interview to carry out the research work,and the results obtained are as follows:Firstly,it proves the feasibility of maker education and teaching model based on Arduino platform in elementary schools.Secondly,it has formed a clear and operable teaching model for makers in primary schools based on Arduino platform,which has improved students' communication ability,practical ability and creativity.Thirdly,the teaching content is designed and arranged to generate a one-semester course system of graphical programming.The teaching model and curriculum system of this study are the results of in-depth research and practice on maker education,enriching the theoretical basis and practical application of maker education,and providing reference for front-line teachers,which is of great practical significance.
