In recent years,the mental health status of middle school students has been a big problem,so that mental health education in middle schools has been widely concerned,and group psychological counseling as an important way to implement mental health education in middle schools,its application directly affects the effect of mental health education.Due to the fact that group psychological counseling is still in the development stage in China,there is no fixed standard in the application of group psychological counseling in middle schools,and the backward concept of group psychological counseling among teachers in some areas,the effect of group psychological counseling in middle schools is not ideal.In order to understand the current situation of the application of group psychological counseling in middle schools,the author aims to solve the problems and promote its effective application in middle schools.Based on the literature research,this study made a thorough investigation on the application status of group psychological counseling in XX schools in Hanzhong through interview and statistics methods,and found that the application effect of group psychological counseling in this school is good as a whole,but there are problems to be solved in many aspects.In terms of topic selection,there is a lack of consideration on the actual needs of students and whether it is suitable for group psychological counseling;In the aspect of content design,there is logic confusion.In terms of application objects,too few groups are involved;In terms of curriculum arrangement,there is a lack of flexibility in the adjustment of subjects and periods;In terms of faculty,professional mental health teachers are understaffed;In the aspect of effect evaluation,there is a lack of objective detection.According to the actual situation of the school,combined with the relevant theories of group psychological counseling,the problems are analyzed and discussed,and operational improvement measures are proposed: Enhance the professional teachers,improve the understanding of the teachers and students to the group psychological counseling,the topic selection should be systematic planning,according to the status of the group members flexible adjustment of the topic and class hour,try to integrate group counseling with junior middle school political classes and class meetings,and cooperate with individual counseling and psychological tests.Improving the application effect of group psychological counseling can effectively promote the development of mental health education,improve the psychological quality of all students,and promote the sustainable development of body and mind.
