As a compulsory public course in China's colleges,the ideological and political theory course has always insisted on strengthening morality as the fundamental goal of teaching and it is the main position and channel of ideological and political education in colleges.The rapid development of the times,the violent impact of information technology and the profound changes in education have profound effects on the teaching methods of teachers and the learning methods of students.The teaching mode provides a basic structural framework for teaching activities and is the basis for teaching activities.In order to give full play to the educational function of the ideological and political theory course and cultivate the new age who can take on the role of national rejuvenation,it is necessary to further promote the reform of the teaching mode of the ideological and political theory course in colleges.The theory of empowerment originated from European and American countries.Emphasizing the return and use of power of the powerless,encouraging the powerless to work hard to get rid of their predicament and actively fight for rights,and provide an important theoretical basis for this research.Domestic research on the theory of empowerment is mostly used in the fields of sociology and management.Studies in the field of education are often related to teacher empowerment or technical empowerment.There is less research literature focusing on student subjects,especially with ideological and political theory courses in colleges.Combined research is uncommon.However,according to the report of UNESCO,there is a certain consensus on the basic connotation of educational empowerment.Combining the theory of empowerment and teaching is the development trend of education.Therefore,this study is based on the theory of educational empowerment,and deeply explores the status quo,existing problems,and causes of the teaching model of ideological and political theory in China.Firstly,literature review and evaluation are carried out on the teaching mode and empowerment theory of ideological and political theory courses.On this basis,interpretation and definition of ideological and political theory courses,teaching mode and educational empowerment are made.Secondly,the undergraduate students of Z University were selected as the survey objects,and the current situation of the teaching model of ideological and political theory was investigated in questionnaire form the six dimensions of learning input,teaching method,teaching content,classroom power,teaching evaluation,and classroom discipline.At the same time,the interview method was adopted as an auxiliary means,starting from the two dimensions of teaching goals and teaching procedures,and communicating with the teachers of the ideological and political theory course at Z University in order to fully understand the current status of the ideological and political theory teaching mode.Thirdly,by using SPSS22.0 software to process and analyze the collected data,it is found that there are three major problems in the current ideological and political theory courses in colleges: imperfect implementation conditions,unreasonable division of classroom power,and unscientific teaching evaluation system.Inadequate conditions consist of three problems: obvious internal differentiation of students,single teaching types,and differences in teaching concepts;unreasonable division of classroom power consists of three problems: imbalance of power distribution between teachers and students,lack of awareness of student power,and imperfect empowerment system;teaching evaluation the unscientific system is composed of two problems: the one-sided assessment system for students and the irrational teacher evaluation system.Based on the theory of educational empowerment,a detailed analysis of the causes of the problems is mainly manifested in three aspects: insufficient support from universities,excessive suppression of teachers' power,and absence of an educational empowerment mechanism.Finally,in view of the existing problems,based on the theory of educational empowerment,this paper puts forward the path of the reform of the teaching mode of Ideological and political theory course in colleges: First,Colleges provide empowerment guarantees.Colleges create conditions to promote the reconfiguration of teacher and student power by improving the implementation mechanism of ideological and political lessons,improving the evaluation of teaching subjects,and establishing a feedback system for empowering teaching models,and support teachers to empower students.Second,teachers divide power.By focusing on the teaching process,establishing empowered classrooms,changing traditional teaching concepts to empower students.The third is to strengthen the core of empowerment.Students must strive to seek the self-construction of power,but also to achieve the unity of their own powers and responsibilities,and ultimately realize the reasonable distribution of teachers and students' power,so as to further improve the quality of ideological and political theory education.
