Empirical Research On Social Work Response To Public Emergencies—take The Prevention And Control Of The New Crown Epidemic As An Example

At present,China's rapid economic development,intensified social differentiation,and frequent public emergencies,such as natural disasters and public health events,pose a serious threat to China's social stability,economic development and people's life safety.The outbreak of the new crown epidemic in 2019 has greatly impacted and challenged people's life safety,health and social operation.As a result,the role and advantages of social work in response to emergencies are once again highlighted.However,in the past,there were some problems in the process of emergency response,such as the lack of attention to individuals and families,the emphasis on material assistance,the lack of spiritual assistance and humanistic care,and the current social security participation in the emergency is not enough,the relevant laws and regulations are not perfect.As a major of helping people,social work has unique advantages in the process of emergency response.We should give full play to the role of professional methods of social work in personal,family emotional comfort,spiritual assistance,etc.reconstruct personal and family habits and integrate community resources to deal with public emergencies.Since the Wenchuan earthquake,the social work has played an obvious role in the service work of solving the crisis,which has attracted the attention of all walks of life Since then,in all kinds of emergencies,social work has actively participated and accumulated valuable experience.Based on the reality of our country,this paper discusses the positive role of social work in public crisis management,and takes the prevention and control of new coronavirus as an example,through the use of literature research,case study and other research methods,to explore the specific performance and activities in the prevention and control of new coronavirus,to explore the role of social workers in emergency response,and to correctly understand the role of social work significance.To explore the important role of social work in response to public emergencies,aiming at the problems existing in the development of social work,by analyzing the reasons,we strive to establish a two-way interactive and resource sharing cooperation mechanism under the leadership and promotion of the government,which can improve the ability of social work to respond to emergencies and play an important role in building socialism and society.
