Illustration is an organic part of teaching material and also an important teaching resource.High school biology textbook illustrations have many kinds of series,lively and interesting.It includes some abundant information,if we exert the textbook illustrations reasonably in the teaching process,it can improve students' study efficiency and cultivate students acquire biological information ability and scientific thinking.This thesis takes the illustration of the compulsory biology textbook of the people's education edition as the research object,adopts the research methods of investigation and research,literature analysis,statistical analysis,classroom observations and so on,and have a systematic study on how to use the illustration of the textbook in the teaching process.It is found that most biology teachers are aware of the importance of illustrations,but there is still some deviation in teaching application.In order to more accurately understand the problems in the application of illustrations in high school biology textbooks,the current situation of the use of illustrations in textbooks was investigated from both teachers and students.Students mainly survey students 'personal information,students' understanding and use of textbook illustrations,and students 'use of illustrations by teachers.Teachers mainly learn about teachers' personal basic information,teachers 'understanding of high school biology textbook illustrations,and teachers investigate the use of textbook illustrations in the classroom.The results of the students' questionnaire show that students mainly have the following problems when using illustrations in textbooks:most students like to see illustrations in textbooks,but they don't understand the functions and types of illustrations in textbooks.Students use less illustrations in the textbook,so they can't clearly express the conversion between text and text,and theirability to convert text and text needs to be improved.Students' self-control is not strong,cannot preview in advance,timely review of relevant knowledge.The results of interviews with teachers show that biology teachers are aware of the importance of illustrations,but most of them lack the secondary development of illustrations due to the influence of class hours and teachers' own teaching methods and teaching habits.In the process of teaching,the teacher habitually inculcates the teaching results to the students,but seldom explains the skills of map reading and reading.According to the problems of teachers and students in the use of illustrations in biology teaching materials,the following application strategies are put forward: using illustrations in teaching materials to cultivate students' ability of text and text conversion;Improve the drawing awareness of biology teachers;Use appropriate illustration teaching methods;Integration and optimization,sharing textbook illustration resources.The proposed application strategy is applied to each part of the teaching process,and the textbook illustrations are introduced into the new lesson to arouse students' attention and interest in the textbook illustrations.Make use of textbook illustrations to break through the key and difficult points,so that students understand and master the key and difficult content of the textbook;Make use of textbook illustrations to review in class and guide students to build knowledge system.The textbook illustrations are used to compile the test questions,and the students' reading and analyzing ability is cultivated.The use of illustrations to cultivate students' concept of life,rational thinking,scientific inquiry,social responsibility.Based on the analysis and research,the application of the proposed strategy applied to the actual teaching practice,in the teaching practice of experimental classes for two months,because the exam is an important part of learning evaluation factors,the experimental classes and that in comparative classes of the final grade and final test papers about the map reading test result analysis,it can be seen that experimental classes scores higher than that in comparative classes of experimental classes and map reading test scores higher than that in comparative classes.From the results ofthe experimental class have a great improvement in their interest and enthusiasm in learning biology,and their ability to translate pictures and pictures has also been significantly improved.In the actual teaching process,the textbook illustration optimization strategy is effective to improve the learning effect of students.
