| The core essence of general education is to train complete people.For higher normal colleges that focus on cultivating all-round development of normal students,the importance of general education is self-evident.The implementation of general education is the effective way to improve the comprehensive qualities of normal students,and it is also the inevitable trend of the connotative development of higher normal colleges.In recent years,higher normal colleges have recognized the importance of general education and actively explored the general education,and have achieved some results.However,focusing on the reality,we found that the research on the general education model in higher normal colleges is not systematic and in-depth.The implementation effect of general education still needs to be further improved.Therefore,there is the urgent need to strengthen the research on the general education model in higher normal colleges to promote the in-depth development of general education and promote the sustainable development of general education in higher normal colleges,so as to comprehensively improve the quality of talent training.This thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter mainly discusses the general situation of general education model in higher normal colleges.Firstly,define the concepts of "higher normal colleges" "general education" and "general education model".Then,sort out the relevant theoretical basis of the general education model,mainly discussing the theory of human's comprehensive development,constructivism and system theory.Finally,it introduces the historical origin of general education in higher normal colleges and the basic types of general education models.Higher normal colleges mainly discuss the construction of general education model from the aspects of goals,courses,teachers,management and evaluation.General education in higher normal colleges pays attention to the constructiveness of knowledge,broadens the field of knowledge based on the problem-solving path,and uses the ideas of system theory to control the ideology and internal and external connections to build the general education model.The second chapter is the investigation and analysis of the current situation of general education model in higher normal colleges.Although there are differences in the general education model of major universities,they have evolved from the basic model.The teaching concepts and talent training objectives are different,and students' requirements for knowledge and skills are also different.Based on the analysis of relevant information about the general education model in higher normal colleges,this study compiles corresponding questionnaires.According to the actual situation,some students from four higher normal colleges are selected as the survey object and questionnaire surveys are carried out.At the same time,in order to obtain more detailed research materials,we also conducted in-depth interviews with some teachers and students to clarify the status of general education in higher normal colleges.Through questionnaire surveys and interview surveys,it has been found that higher normal colleges have initially formed the general education system,and have set up richer general education courses,but the number of high-quality general education courses is not large,and the implementation of general education is not ideal.The third chapter mainly discusses the problems existing in the general education model of higher normal colleges.The imperfect management of general education in schools and the unclear understanding of general education by teachers and students have led to multiple encounters in the development of the general education model in higher normal colleges.The main manifestations are as follows: the training objectives of the general education model in higher normal colleges are not clear,the characteristics of the general education curriculum are not obvious,the strength of general education teachers is weak,and the management and evaluation system is not perfect.The general education in higher normal colleges at this stage is similar to the general education in other colleges and universities.They all use general courses to carry out general education,which fail to fully reflect the characteristics of the school and use the existing resources of general education.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the reasons for the problems in the general education model of higher normal colleges.In recent years,higher normal colleges have actively promoted general education,which aims to improve the overall quality of students,but the implementationeffect is not satisfactory.The reason for the poor implementation of general education is that schools have not fully understood the connotation of general education and are deeply affected by utilitarianism.At the same time,they lack a corresponding incentive system and it is difficult to effectively exert the enthusiasm of teachers.Only by clarifying the causes of the existing problems in the general education model of higher normal colleges can we take the appropriate measures and promote the better implementation of general education in higher normal colleges.Finally,based on the current situation of general education model in higher normal colleges,the improvement strategies are proposed,which mainly includes four aspects.First,accurately locate the goal of general education,and attach importance to the cultivation of students' cultural literacy,international vision,and critical thinking skills.Second,build the general education curriculum system with teacher education characteristics,the curriculum content highlights the normality,interdisciplinary courses and core courses,and add general education courses based on the core qualities of normal students.Third,strengthen the construction of general education teachers and train high-quality general education teachers.Fourth,establish the special general education management organization,optimize the incentive mechanism and evaluation method of general education,gradually improve the general education model,and better promote the development of general education in higher normal colleges. |
