Research On The Cultivation Of Contemporary College Students' Volunteer Spirit

In the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: “We will focus on fostering a new generation capable of shouldering the mission of national rejuvenation;we will offer them better guidance,expose them to practice,and provide institutional guarantees.We will draw on core socialist values to guide education,efforts to raise cultural-ethical standards,and the creation,production,and distribution of cultural and intellectual products.” The country also attaches great importance to the construction of spiritual civilization.Volunteer service,as an important way to realize the construction of spiritual civilization,maintains the idea of “selfless dedication,friendship and mutual assistance”,which originates from the volunteerism.As an important force for social development in the future,it is key for college students to achieve overall success through the ideological quality education.And as for the volunteerism,whose core ideas,has provided for the source of thought,which is helpful to establish correct values.It is also beneficial to guide college students to actively participate in volunteer activities,practicing the core values of socialism.As a result,in the new era,cultivating and carrying forward the volunteerism of college students is of great significance to the development of spiritual civilization,the implementation of core values of socialism,and the promotion of building a cultural power.In this thesis,it is divided into five chapters to carry out in-depth discussion and research on existing problems of cultivating college students' volunteerism as well as corresponding effective ways of cultivation.As for the first chapter,it is classified into five parts as follows: researchreasons,research status,research ideas,research methods and research significance.And the second one is about the relevant overview,which elaborates the connotation of volunteerism in detail,the origination and development of China and the West,the relevant ideas contained in Chinese traditional culture,the theoretical basis of the Communists as well as the views of researchers,and the practical significance of cultivating volunteerism for contemporary college students.In the third chapter,it mainly introduces the questionnaire survey,which includes purposes of the survey,problem designs and related data analyses,values presented through volunteerism of college students and current problems existed.Besides,as for the fourth part,it is the analysis of reasons.Taking actual survey results as references,it analyzes the causes through some factors,including school education,social environment and college students,which reflects problems more concretely and clearly.In the last chapter,based on problems and reasons presented in former parts,it mainly summarizes cultivation paths.According to the relevant laws and regulations that have been introduced and the current cultivation status of volunteerism,from the perspective of school,society,and college students,it can be found that some effective cultivation approaches to meet the needs of national conditions.
