In the course of the continuous development of our society,the issue of children's safety has become a priority concern for society.In recent years,the frequent occurrence of young children falling from buildings,electrocution deaths and other phenomena,many people are still afraid,once again sounded the alarm of children's home accidents.Due to their young age,curiosity,unintentional psychological activities and behaviours,poor ability to control and regulate psychological activities and behaviours,and unstable personality traits,preschool children lack the ability to identify hidden safety hazards in the home,and accidents in the home occur with high frequency.As a critical period in children's physical and mental development,the preschool years are key to developing awareness and skills for home safety.With the increasing pressure for kindergartens to move up to primary schools,kindergartens are putting cultural education in the most important position in early childhood education,and more and more parents are concerned about their children's performance in cultural classes,while neglecting to pay attention to preschool children's home safety education,so it is urgent to strengthen home safety education for preschool children in all aspects.During her internship at J Community,the author learned through questionnaires and interviews that although preschoolers are educated about home safety at home and in kindergarten,in reality,preschoolers still have unsafe behaviours in their habits and need to deepen their impression of home safety.In response to this phenomenon,the author first investigated the current situation and needs of preschool children and their families for home safety,and found that there is a lack of home safety education for preschool children in schools and families,and there is a general demand for home safety education.Secondly,the author has conducted an in-depth analysis of the current situation of preschool children's home safety education and the demand for home safety education,and explored a new model of social work intervention in preschool children's home safety education based on the combing of research data on children's home safety and under the guidance of social learning theory through the literature research method.Subsequently,in response to the needs of preschoolchildren for home safety,the preschool children's home safety education group programme,"Raising the Hand of Life and Caring for a Happy Childhood",was designed to guide group members to understand the possible dangers encountered in the home,identify the hidden dangers of home safety,learn home safety knowledge through observation and simple prevention and self-help skills,enhance group members' home safety awareness and self-protection ability,promote the healthy physical and mental growth of children,and ultimately help preschool children achieve group goals through educational guidance,and evaluate and reflect on group intervention and make rationalized recommendations.The findings suggest that social work interventions can compensate for the lack of home safety education for preschool children by helping to acquire home safety knowledge and skills in a fun and educational way,and by combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience.The author has made recommendations on safe home education for preschool children from the perspective of the government and social work respectively: at the government level,first,to establish a sound policy on safe home education for preschool children and second,to accelerate the construction of safe home facilities in the community.At the social work level,one is that social workers link excellent resources to infuse home safety education with professionalism.Secondly,social workers should make use of the advantages of contextual experience in the education of preschool children,and thirdly,a social support network for safe home education for preschool children should be established.Fourth,families,kindergartens and social workers should cooperate to establish a scientific model of home safety education.
