Innovation ability,adaptability and practical ability are the basic conditions for future social talents.Therefore,the cultivation of innovative talents is an important strategic measure for all countries in the world to gain a foothold in the international competition.Biology is the study of biological structure,function and the law of occurrence and development of scientific,practical is the main characteristics of biology,through practice of biological activity can stimulate students' creative thinking,cultivate students' innovation spirit and innovation ability.Senior high school is an important stage of talent training.Biological practice activities carried out in this period in China mainly include biological experiment and extracurricular researchbased learning activities,which are the supplement,expansion and extension of classroom teaching and the main way to cultivate senior high school students' practical ability and innovative thinking ability.This study summarized the current research status of innovation ability cultivation and high school biology practice at home and abroad,and used questionnaire survey to investigate the implementation of high school biology practice in four provincial demonstration schools in Tianshui.The results show that only Tianshui No.1 Middle School carried out biological practice in these four schools.Under the influence of exam-oriented education in college entrance examination,students' biological practice activities mainly include knowledge competition and model making.The other three schools did not carry out practical activities,the students thought that the main reasons were that the school or biology teachers did not pay enough attention to biological practical activities,the school class schedule was tight and the teachers lacked.Combined with the survey results,the relationship between the practical activities of high school biology and the cultivation of high school students' innovation ability is sorted out.At last,four kinds of activity cases of "model making","biological investigation","experimental inquiry" and "Youth Science and Technology Innovation Contest" were designed and put into practice in the teaching of biology courses of the first class of Tianshui No.1 Middle School.Through the research and analysis of practice results,it is found that different types of biological practice activities can cultivate students' innovation consciousness and ability to a certain extent.Among them,the science and technology innovation competition of teenagers,which mainly focuses on research learning results,plays a significant role in improving students' innovation ability.For teachers,carrying out biological practical activities can improve their professional skills and qualities,and provide theoretical basis for senior high school biology teachers to carry out practical activities.For students,to some extent,it can improve the core quality of biology and students' ability to acquire knowledge,stimulate students' interest in learning,and play a positive role in cultivating students' innovative consciousness and innovative practice ability.
