MOOC(Massive Open Online Course)is a Massive Open Online Course.Emphasizing the use of "micro-video" online teaching and learning,interactive,free,open and other characteristics.Most courses on domestic MOOC platforms are aimed at higher education teaching,rarely involving middle school curriculum teaching,let alone biology teaching in junior middle school.The biology curriculum in junior high school is of great subjectivity and abstraction,and its subject involves a lot of abstract scientific phenomena that are difficult to be clearly described in words.The application of MOOC resources can help teachers solve the contents that cannot be expressed in words or written on the blackboard in biology teaching,and transmit them to students in a vivid and easily accepted form,so that students can have a more vivid understanding of some abstract biological contents.Therefore,selecting appropriate MOOC resources as teaching materials and applying them in biology teaching of junior high school can provide new teaching ideas for curriculum reform of basic education.Using MOOC resources for teaching can also improve the knowledge limitations in classroom teaching,expand students' knowledge horizons and stimulate students' interest in learning.This paper has read and studied a large number of literatures,sorted out the MOOC resources related to the contents of biology textbooks in junior high schools on various MOOC platforms in China,summarized the characteristics of various MOOC resources,and proposed the purpose,selection and optimization strategies for the application of MOOC resources in junior high school biology teaching.Five teaching cases of single-celled organisms,flowering and fruiting,seed germination,algae,mosses and ferns and seed plants were designed according to the application strategy,and were verified by experiments in the teaching process of six parallel classes in grade 7 of Tianshui No.1 Middle School.Through the analysis of the scores before and after the experiment and the questionnaire results,it is found that MOOC resources canbe applied to any link of classroom teaching(preview stage,classroom teaching process and after-class review process).For students,the use of MOOC resources can effectively improve students' performance in biology courses,stimulate students' interest in learning,change their learning style and improve their comprehensive ability.For teachers,using MOOC resources can promote their professional development.The application of MOOC resources in class as an auxiliary teaching tool is not to abandon the traditional teaching methods,but to carry out reform and innovation on the basis of traditional classes,improve the teaching methods and give play to the advantages of educational resources,so that students can achieve the teaching goals more easily and happily.The application of MOOC resources in teaching provides middle school teachers with new ideas for curriculum reform and infuses fresh blood into the diversity of teaching methods.
