In the era of "Internet + Education",the application of information technology in education has received more and more attention.With the rapid development of the network information age,the sharing of open education resources has become the main feature of the era of open education.MOOC is a typical representative of open teaching resources.The application of MOOC in junior middle school regional geography teaching is used as a teaching aid resource.There are a wealth of high quality MOOC resources on the Internet that can be used to assist junior middle school regional geography teaching,which provides conditions for breaking the traditional teaching mode.Using MOOC as the research object,study the application status and feasibility of MOOC in junior middle school regional geography teaching through questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics and proposes corresponding application strategies.Then taking "Geography China-Qinghai-Tibet Plateau" MOOC as an example,combine it with junior middle school regional geography teaching to carry out experimental research and summarize the experimental research conclusions.In order to broaden the acquisition channels of junior middle school regional geography teaching resources and change the traditional teaching mode,and provide reference for the majority of first-line junior middle school geography teachers to use MOOC to assist geography teaching.First of all,through the questionnaire survey method to search the application status of MOOC in junior middle school regional geography teaching.It is concluded that the current application of MOOC in junior middle school regional geography teaching is mainly hindered by four aspects: the shackles of the traditional teaching mode,the impact of MOOC course length and difficulty,lack of school policy support and lack of MOOC platform construction.The application of MOOC in junior middle school regional geography teaching is available,which is mainly reflected in four aspects: the requirements for the development of junior middle school regional geography teaching resources,the need for the professional development of junior middle school geography teachers,the need for junior middle school students to broaden their knowledge acquisition channels,and the fragmentation and high quality features of MOOC.Secondly,according to the problems existing in the application of MOOC in junior middle school regional geography teaching,a targeted application strategy is proposed.Including junior middle school geography teachers need to select appropriate MOOC resources,junior middle school geography teachers need to change the traditional teaching mode,build a junior middle school regional geography MOOC teaching platform and junior middle school students need to establish a psychological awareness of autonomous learning.Finally,according to the application strategy of MOOC in junior middle school regional geography teaching,take the "Geography China-Qinghai-Tibet Plateau" MOOC as an example to explain the specific measures of combining MOOC with junior middle school regional geography teaching.Taking "Qinghai-Tibet area" as a lesson example for researching,compare the difference in experimental effects between the traditional mode and the MOOC assisted mode in junior middle school regional geography teaching.Draw the experimental conclusion: the students' status improved,the students' interest in learning geography improved,the students' learning behavior habits changed,the students' chapter test scores are relatively good and the teacher's geography teaching ability improved.
