Time existed in all aspects of human life and work, and perception of time was the most basic cognitive ability of human beings.Time perception was mainly divided into three kinds of time points, time series and time interval. This paper mainly discussed the human perception of the length of time between two events, and the instant distance perception.Hearing impairment was the third largest chronic disease in the world, and hearing loss was a huge obstacle to the life and work of the hearing-impaired group. The researchers found that they had many problems in the process of growth and development, and they did not perform well in various psychological tasks.Time psychologists also discussed the perception of time-distance of hearing-impaired groups. The results of the study were not consistent, there was a big controversy, and their research used behavioral experiments, and no further research and discussion. In this study,a special group of college students with hearing impairment was selected, and a group of healthy students(hearing healthy students)were selected for comparison. The neurophysiological differences and characteristics of the short-duration below 1s and the long-duration above 1s between the two groups were studied. The differences and mechanisms of ERP between the two groups of short-term distances below 1 s and long-term distances above 1 s were investigated. In the first study, the classical temporal bisection task was used to investigate the differences and characteristics of temporal duration perception between the hearing-impaired college students and the hearing impaired college students in the short-time duration below 1 second. The results showed that the temporal duration perception of the hearing-impaired college students was different from that of the hearing college students in the short-time interval below 1s.Compared with hearing students, the amplitude of P1,the peak value of P1 and the peak value of LPCt were smaller, and the latency of the peak value of P2 and LPCt were delayed in hearing-impaired college students, which indicated that hearing-impaired college students' central visual field attention and processing efficiency decreased, which extended the process of time duration processing and made it difficult to make time duration information decision. In the second study, the same temporal bisection task as study one was used to investigate the differences and characteristics of the temporal duration perception between the hearing-impaired college students and the hearing college students in the long-time duration more than 1 second. The results showed that the temporal duration perception of the hearing-impaired college students was different from that of the hearing college students in the long-time interval over 1 second.Compared with the hearing students, the P1 amplitude of the hearing-impaired college students was smaller, the P1 peak latency was shortened, and the P2 peak latency was delayed. It showed that the hearing loss and the processing efficiency of the hearing-impaired students in the long-term distance of more than 1s were reduced. The results of this study demonstrated that, compared with the hearing students, the hearing-impaired students had a decrease in central vision and a decrease in processing efficiency in less than 1 s and above 1 s.However, due to the difference in time period,it was more difficult for hearing-impaired students to make time duration information in short-term duration below 1 s compared with hearing students, but this phenomenon did not occur in the long-term duration above 1 s.
