A Study On The Present Situation,problems And Countermeasures Of Cultivating Talents By Scientific Research In Universities

With the development of the times,universities have become one of the most active places for scientific and technological innovation,and their status in the national science and technology innovation system has continuously improved.Many universities put the improvement of scientific research level in the primary position of their development strategy.However,under the background that more and more attention has been paid to scientific research in the university,the situation that more emphasis on scientific research and less on teaching appears.University scientific research and teaching are out of touch with each other,and are gradually separating from talent training.In the process of scientific research,teachers only focus on requiring students to do things and neglecting to train students to be a real man,even if they take the cultivation of talents into account.They emphasize on imparting scientific knowledge and cultivating scientific research capabilities,and ignoring the cultivation of students' scientific morality,academic integrity,political quality,ideological quality and cultural quality.In response to the above problems,the Central Committee issued "Opinions on Further Strengthening and Improving the Propaganda and Ideological Work of Colleges and Universities under the New Situation" in 2015,formally raised the issue of "cultivating talents by scientific research ".At the National Conference on Ideological and Political Work in Colleges and Universities in 2016,the Central Government emphasized cultivating talents by scientific research once again.Subsequently,the Ministry of Education successively issued relevant documents and put forward specific requirements.Cultivating talents by scientific research have increasingly become a more and more important theoretical and practical issue in the field of higher education.This research is based on the issue of "Research on the Mechanism of University Scientific Research of Students Cultivating"(BIA180189).This study mainly answers the following questions:(1)What is the current situation of cultivating talents by scientific research in our country?(2)What are the problems in cultivating talents by scientific research?(3)What are the causes of the problems in university scientific research of students cultivating?(4)How should universities do in cultivating talents by scientific research?In order to figure out the present situation of cultivating talents by scientific research in China,the author conducted questionnaires among 560 teachers and 866 students and interviewed some representative teachers from four universities in Hubei Province.The questionnaire mainly focuses on three aspects: the scientific research status of university teachers and students,the objective reality and the subjective view of university scientific research of students cultivating.The results of the study show that the current problems of cultivating talents by scientific research in China are as follows: Firstly,in terms of schools,some schools do not pay enough attention to scientific research of students cultivating and lack of policies;the environment of university scientific research of students cultivating is not good and the atmosphere is not strong enough.Secondly,in terms of teachers,some teachers have strong utilitarian research motivation;teachers' awareness of cultivating talents by scientific research is generally weak,their requirements are not strict;the goal of teachers' scientific research of students cultivating is low;the initiative and investment of teachers' scientific research of students cultivating are insufficient;and teachers do not pay enough attention to guiding undergraduates' scientific research.Thirdly,in terms of students,students are not deeply involved in teachers' research and their scientific research time is limited;they get inferior positions in the scientific research team,and their educational opportunities are limited.Through the analysis of the problems,this study concluded that the causes of the problems in scientific research of students cultivating are mainly in the following aspects.From the perspective of society,on the one hand,it is affected by the bad atmosphere in the society;on the other hand,it lacks a joint mechanism.From the perspective of schools,the first is the impact of the "double drift" phenomenon of the university,the second is the pressure of school survival and development,and the third is the excessive institutionalization of scientific research management.From the perspective of teachers,on the one hand,it is due to the negative effect of teachers' ethics;on the other hand,it is due to the lack of teachers' awareness of cultivating talents by scientific research.From the perspective of students,one is due to the weak subjective awareness of students' participating in scientific research,and the other is the lack of students' own knowledge and ability.Finally,based on the above research results,relevant countermeasures for scientific research of students cultivating are given in terms of mechanisms,regulations,teacher education,education environment,management assessment,active guidance and joint education.
