In the process of the transformation of sci-tech achievements in universities,the reasons for success and failure are complex,and the simple accumulation of factors has been difficult to support the smooth advancement of the entire transformation chain.The research introduces the opportunity perspective of Multiple Streams Theory and believes that the transformation of sci-tech achievements in universities and the "entrepreneurial activities" have commonalities.The success of entrepreneurial activities cannot be separated from the discovery and grasp of entrepreneurial opportunities.Successfully identifying and grasping the transformation opportunities is to discover and manage entrepreneurial opportunities,which will become an important factor in the successful transformation of sci-tech achievements in universities.First,the research uses Grounded Theory research method for qualitative research,and the ATLAS.ti 8 software is used to analyze the factors that affect the transformation opportunities of sci-tech achievements in universities,to explore the conceptual categories,correlations and cores of these factors.It is pointed out that the six factors affect the opportunities for transformation include phase factor,outcome attribute factor,mediation factor,risk factor,individual inputs and relationship factor,and environmental factor.Second,based on the results of qualitative analysis,the research construct the influencing factors theoretical framework of the transformation opportunities of sci-tech achievements in universities.It clearly shows the many factors affecting the transformation opportunities in the transformation chain and their coupling effects,and according to the obtained factors,determine a variable index system,the research calls it an opportunity variable.In order to verify the moderating effect of the opportunity variable on the relationship between the output of sci-tech achievements and the transformation of sci-tech achievements,an empirical research framework suitable for the research was constructed.In this research,universities' sci-tech inputs are used as independent variables,the transformation of sci-tech achievements as the dependent variable,the output of sci-tech achievements as the intermediary variable,and the opportunity variable as the adjustment variable,and select relevant data from 2015 to 2017 in mainland Chinese universities for hypothesis testing.The empirical results show that the output of sci-tech achievements plays a significant and complete intermediary role in the relationship between sci-tech inputs and transformation of sci-tech achievements in universities,and the opportunity variable positively regulates the relationship between the output of sci-tech achievements and the transformation of sci-tech achievements.Finally,based on the research conclusions,proposes countermeasures for how to effectively seize the transformation opportunities in universities.
