After ten years,MOOCs has formed a global development trend.The rapid development of MOOCs has brought profound changes to traditional teaching.In addition to being recognized by many scholars,teachers and students at home and abroad,the problems it exposes have also caused widespread concern and reflection.Based on a brief review of the historical process of MOOCs' creation and development,this article believes that MOOCs' current development situation is inseparable from the new media technology environment on which it is based.Focus on the impact of media technology on teaching models.Therefore,this article attempts to put the MOOCs teaching mode into the media technology for in-depth analysis,starting from the perspective of the media ecology,and focuses on analyzing the traditional teaching mode and MOOCs teaching mode of the media technology environment.Compare the media technology environment in which MOOCs teaching mode and traditional teaching mode are located,and understand the unique media characteristics and media technology environment of these two teaching modes.Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the two teaching modes in different media environments.After an in-depth analysis of two different teaching models,I realized that the limitations of MOOCs itself cannot be ignored.What needs to be realized is that the essential problem of MOOCs is the lack of emotional experience,face-to-face communication,and the nature of education.In the end,MOOCs is only a necessary supplement to the traditional classroom teaching.It cannot replace the traditional teaching mode,become the mainstream of the teaching mode,or even replace the teacher's status.It should complement the traditional teaching advantages and develop with each other to form a new teaching mode combining face-to-face and online courses.It is a mode of combining online watching videos and offline classroom discussions,which not only makes full use of high-quality and rich network resources,but also guarantees face-to-face communication and discussion between teachers and students.This new teaching mode can bring the advantages of both teaching modes into the teaching process at the same time,and can promote the long-term development ofteaching together.Correctly understand the relationship between media technology and teaching mode,make full use of media to carry out rich teaching activities,promote the development of education,actively face challenges and opportunities,and make the future development of MOOCs more long-term and perfect.Therefore,research on this new teaching mode and its media technology environment is of great practical significance.
