revision of the curriculum standards of geography in senior high schools,the country attaches more and more importance to the cultivation of innovative and practical talents.Although the core quality of geography is not clearly proposed in junior middle school,the practicality of geography and the promotion of teachers to pay attention to the cultivatio n of students'innovative spirit and practical consciousness in the geography curriculum standards are enough to see the necessity and importance of cultivating students'practical ability of geography in junior middle school.Based on the textbook,this paper organizes classroom teaching activities on the basis of making full use of the column of "activities" in the textbook.To some extent,the gap between different regions and schools can be narrowed in the cultivation of geographical practice ability.Taking the first volume of grade 7 of Pep Edition as an example,this paper combines the cultivation of geographical practice ability with the activities in the textbook to explore how to organize classroom teaching activities with the column of "Activities",so as to cultivate the geographical practice ability of junior high school students.Through literature research method,the research status of geography practice ability and "activity" column is sorted out,and the idea of combining the cultivation of junior high school students' geography practice ability with the activity teaching in the "Activity" column of the textbook is put forward.Through the extraction and classification of the keywords in the column of "activities" in junior middle school geography textbooks,it is divided into three categories,namely,cognitive activities,inquiry activities and practice activities,and eight sub-categories,namely,graph reading,analysis,discussion,debate,observation,demonstration,production and drawing.Among the textbooks for the first volume of grade 7 in pep edition,cognitive activities account for the largest proportion,which reflects that cognitive activities occupy an important position in the textbooks.Secondly,practical activities and inquiry activities show that the column of "activity" has strong utilization value in cultivating junior middle school students' geographical practice ability.According to the concept of geographical practice,combined with previous research,the geographical practice is divided into five elements: practical awareness,practical knowledge,practical methods,practical ability and practical quality.All kinds of activities focus on the cultivation of differ ent geographical practice elements.According to the classification of "activities" column,this paper puts forward corresponding requirements for the cultivation of geographical practice.Through questionnaire survey,this paper understands the current situation of the cultivation of junior high school students' geographical practice ability and teachers' understanding of the column of "Activity",and finds out that students' geographical practice awareness is the best among the five elements,and their grasp of practical knowledge is poor,while the cultivation of practical ability and practical quality is still the key problem.In the actual teaching process,geographical practice activities are often restricted by class hours,funds,safety and other conditions and cannot be carried out normally,which is a huge resistance to train students' geographical practice ability.In addition,different regions have different levels of economic development,and there are also differences in the development of practical activities in various schools at all levels.The research on the cultivation of junior high school students' geographical practical ability mainly focuses on outdoor practical activities.As an important basis for students' learning,textbooks are often neglected,lacking the integration and utilization of activities in textbooks.The survey results are consistent with the reality that junior high school students are not yet mature in physical and mental development and have strong curiosity and thirst for knowledge.It also highlights that cognitive activities account for the largest proportion in the training of junior high school students' geographical practice ability,indicating the importance of the training of practical knowledge among the eleme nts of geographical practice ability.On the basis of the analysis of the questionnaire results,combining the relevant knowledge of constructivism learning theory,humanism learning theory,activity teaching theory and geography teaching theory,as well as the physical and mental development characteristics of junior high school students,this paper proposes the principles and approaches of training junior high school students' geographical practice ability based on the "activity" column.Design case and t he implementation of teaching in class,through the experimental class and control class two classes students test paper analyses experimental classes of students' practical knowledge to master better,through classroom observation activities conducted experiments of experimental classes in practice,the practice ability and the quality has obvious improvement in performance,and the overall situation is better than the control class.Conclusion: using the "activity" column to carry out the corresponding geography classroom teaching activities,to fully arouse the enthusiasm of students' classroom participation,lets the student in the doing,brain,saying and cooperative exploration for geography skills,master the geography geography knowledge,acquisition practice,verify the feasibility of the geographical practice force.The innovation of this paper is to combine the cultivation of junior high school students' geographical practice ability with the column of "Activities" in the textbook,and analyze the relevance between the column of "activities" and the cultivation of junior high school students' geographical practice ability.Put forward different types of "activities" column corresponding to the geographical practice requirements,and the training of geographical practice into the five elements.It can cultivate students' practical ability of geography in junior middle school,which enriches the theory of activity teaching to some
