With the continuous advancement of the new curriculum reform,the core quality of geography has become a hot topic in geography teaching.Regional cognitive ability,as one of the four core qualities of geography,occupies an important position in geography teaching and is the basic idea and method of geography learning.In the process of teaching,it is an important goal to guide students to master the methods of regional cognition and to be able to understand geographical phenomena from a regional perspective.However,in the actual geography teaching at the present stage,the majority of educators in the traditional teaching mode still remain in the teaching of knowledge,but ignore the improvement of students' ability,and the cultivation of the cognitive ability of geographical areas is not optimistic.Local resources are closely related to the cognition of geographical region,and they are one of the best teaching resources nearest to students.It is very important to use local resources to cultivate students' cognitive ability of geographical region.Firstly,By using the method of the literature research,the thesis sorts out the connotation of local resources and regional cognitive ability,and divides the elements of regional cognitive ability into the following four points: regional generalization ability,regional analysis ability,regional evaluation ability and regional prediction ability.Based on its connotation,the paper analyzes the relationship between local resources and regional cognitive ability.Secondly,based on the cognitive learning theory,the learning transfer theory and the constructivism theory,using the students' test paper making and the results of teachers' questionnaire survey,the paper uses the methods of statistical analysis and questionnaire survey.Thirdly,based on the above analysis of the current situation of high school students' regional cognitiveability training and teachers' teaching,and in view of the problems in the survey,the corresponding training strategies are put forward.Finally,Taking Zhengzhou as an example,combining the typical local resources of Zhengzhou with the knowledge points of teaching materials,this paper puts forward specific teaching suggestions,targeted training of students' regional cognitive ability,and case teaching design.The specific research conclusions are as follows.(1)It is of positive significance to use local resources to cultivate senior high school students' regional cognitive ability.Firstly,local resources come from the area where students live,which is one of the teaching resources closest to students and most intuitive to them.Students are familiar with the natural geographical environment and local culture of their hometown.In geography teaching,the use of local resources for teaching,guide students to combine theoretical knowledge and practical life,the abstract knowledge visualization,is not only beneficial to enhance the students' interest in learning,improve the students' classroom participation,and to improve students' ability to solve practical problems,and actively make recommendations for the development of his hometown.Secondly,select the local resources as a carrier of students' cognition,the local resources as the breakthrough point of the regional geography teaching,can better to let the student to obtain knowledge true feelings to the teaching material,and with the change of the area,from local to the students to know the other directors like area,summarizes the regional learning methods,thus forming a good regional cognitive ability.(2)Regional cognitive ability training of high school students is not optimistic.Based on the survey of some high school students' paper responses,it is found that the overall level of students' regional cognitive ability is generally at a low level,among which the regional analysis ability still needs to befurther improved,and the ability to transfer and apply regional learning methods is weak.Through the questionnaire survey of teachers,it is found that,first of all,teachers' understanding of the connotation of the cognitive ability of geographical areas is polarized.Secondly,in regional geography,the teaching form is single,and the subjectivity of middle school students is not prominent in the actual teaching process.Finally,teachers lack the ability to integrate local resources and are not closely integrated with the teaching content.In addition,the development degree of local resources needs to be strengthened and the implementation environment is limited in the process of training.(3)The basic strategy of cultivating high school students' regional cognitive ability by using local resources is proposed in the paper.First of all,it is necessary to do some preparation work before class:studing the course standard carefully and deepening the understanding of regional cognitive ability.To update the teaching concept of regional geography and grasp the essence of rural case teaching;Closely related to the regional teaching content,the selection and presentation of local resources.Secondly,it attaches importance to classroom efficiency: enriching regional teaching forms and improving students' participation in class;Excavating local cases and improving students' ability of regional analysis;Summarize the regional learning methods and promote the transfer and application of local cases.Finally,to strengthen the development of local resources: firstly,to pay attention to the professional ability of teachers to develop local resources;Secondly,other social departments should actively cooperate with the school's local teaching work,provide local materials and practice base support,and carry out school-based courses according to the actual situation of the school.Thirdly,the use of modern network information technology,actively advocate the local resources of a variety of content,a variety of forms of sharing.The innovation of the paper: the article uses the way of combining student's question andteacher's questionnaire to analyze,which truly reflects the current situation of high school students' regional cognitive ability and the current situation of teachers' teaching of cultivating students' regional cognitive ability with local resources,so as to put forward the corresponding training strategies.
