| Regional geography is the main contents of the geographical course of junior high school,and local geography is advocated as the carrier of comprehensive learning in the curriculum standard of junior high school geography.Regional cognitive literacy is one of the core literacy of geography.Taking local geography as the carrier to cultivate students’ regional cognition can help students analyze and understand the geographical environment and its relationship with human activities from the perspective of region.Based on theories of constructivism learning,geography curriculum and teaching,and learning transfer,and using the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey,comprehensive analysis and classroom teaching practice,this paper mainly investigated the current situation and problems of regional cognitive literacy of junior high school students,and put forth the strategies of cultivating students’ regional cognitive literacy by integrating local geographical resources.The conclusions are as follows:(1)According to the background of geography teaching reform,the background of compulsory education geography curriculum standards and the needs of cultivating students’ local feelings,combined with the survey data,it is a feasible teaching mode to integrate local geography resources and cultivate students’ regional cognitive literacy in junior middle school.(2)According to the questionnaire survey,we understand the attitude of geography teachers to integrate local geographical resources on junior high school students’ regional cognitive literacy,and the influence of local geographical resources on the cultivation of junior high school students’ regional cognitive literacy.The survey found that teachers have a high awareness of the cultivation of regional cognitive literacy,and the integration of local geographical resources into junior high school geography teaching has become the norm.Integrating local geographical resources to Cultivate Junior High School Students’ regional cognitive literacy can stimulate students’ interest in learning,cultivate students’ feelings of home and country,and improve students’ ability of knowledge transfer.However,in the actual teaching process,it is limited by class hours and teaching places,including the lack of scientific evaluation system in the teaching process.On the basis of questionnaire and teacher interview,this paper puts forward the strategies of integrating local geographical resources to cultivate students’ regional cognitive literacy: 1.Select appropriate local geographical resources to guide students to actively build regional cognitive literacy;2;(2)Pay attention to the practice of local geography,cultivate students’ practical ability in the region;(3)Combining the local conditions with the national conditions to cultivate students’ regional analysis ability;(4)Promote students’ deep learning and cultivate their regional analysis ability;(5)To cultivate students’ concept of "big geography" and guide them to form regional concept.(3)Based on the case of local geography in Chengdu,the teaching case based on regional cognitive literacy is designed,which enriches the curriculum resources.Among them,the teaching case of "Map Reading-Identifying Direction" highlights the cultivation of students’ regional cognitive literacy,which can be used as a reference for geography teachers.The evaluation system of regional cognitive literacy is constructed.Through the regional cognitive grade evaluation of the experimental class and the control class,it is confirmed that the use of local geographical resources is feasible for the cultivation of junior high school students’ regional cognitive literacy. |
