Mathematics education in primary school plays an irreplaceable role in the cultivation of learning habits, the development of thinking and the improvement of ability.During the six-year learning process in primary school, the difficulty of primary school mathematics learning increases year by year, and the learning content also increases gradually. These changes in complexity have a great impact on primary school students' mathematics learning. In addition, some teachers are deficient in teaching ability, classroom teaching method, classroom evaluation method and moral construction. The subjective factors of students themselves and the bad attitude of parents towards students' study have seriously affected students' study, resulting in the phenomenon of academic performance differentiation in higher grades of primary schools.According to this phenomenon and combined with my own teaching practice experience, four classes of grade 6 of X Primary School in Changyuan County were taken as the research objects to specifically analyze the final exam scores and changes of the students in this grade in six years, and find out the specific performance of the differentiation of math scores of senior students in primary school.According to the specific performance of grade differentiation, this paper analyzes the causes of grade differentiation of senior students in primary schools and finds corresponding coping strategies. It is hoped that the summarized countermeasures can provide help to mathematics teachers in first-line primary schools. This paper starts from the following four perspectives:first,it analyzes the previous researches on student achievement differentiation and finds out its own research objectives and directions, based on Vygosky's theory of proximal development zone and Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences learning.Second, according to their own practice in the school,in-depth analysis of the six years of mathematics final exam scores of primary school senior students,in the analysis of the results found that the pass rate and excellence rate of primary school senior students math scores decline and the degree of polarization intensified. The differentiation of mathematics scores among senior students in primary schools is characterized by universality and seriousness as well as gender difference. On the basis of the analysis of grades,it can be seen that the differentiation of grades in mathematics of senior primary school students will lead to a series of learning problems such as lack of attention, low participation in class, slow acceptance of knowledge and difficulty in completing homework.Third, questionnaires were issued and interviews were conducted with parents and teachers to make clear the reasons for the differentiation of mathematics scores of senior students in primary schools, which mainly included three aspects:the students' own factors, the lack of professional quality of mathematics teachers, and the increasing difficulty of mathematics learning in senior students in primary schools. Finally, according to the three reasons for the differentiation of mathematics scores of senior students in primary schools, this paper analyzes the countermeasures for the differentiation of mathematics scores of senior students in primary schools.Effective intervention measures should be taken from three aspects, namely, cultivating students'learning quality and habits, changing teaching concepts, improving teachers' teaching ability and level, attaching importance to teaching quality, and increasing the scene and interest of mathematics learning,so as to further restrain the differentiation of mathematics academic performance of senior students in primary schools.
