| Development of preschool education in rural areas of China is very minimal compared to the urban areas,hence balancing the development of preschools in both areas is an important instrument to promoting the equity of preschool education in the country.Nearly a decade,with the attention and support of the communist party of China and the state,the problem of "cost and entry constraints into kindergarten" in preschool education has been alleviated.The rural preschool education has been subjected to major changes,yet there are shortcomings of preschool education.There are other obstacles,such as,insufficient hardware facilities and weak teachers,preventing the development of rural preschool education.China has a vast territory,and there are great differences between rural areas in different provinces.This study focused on the development status of preschool education in rural Y county.Data were collected by conducting field observation on 8 public kindergartens in 5 townships,interviewing the personnel in charge of education departments,kindergarten principals and some kindergarten teachers,and questionnaires were issued to teachers.The status quo was summarized from the perspectives of management system,investment in fuds,internal problems of kindergartens and parents,the effects and difficulties of rural preschool education development in Y county were objectively analyzed,and the improvement strategy was proposed.The study consists of six parts:introduction,sample selection,effect of rural preschool education in Y county,difficulties in development,causes of difficulties and improvement strategies.The introduction mainly introduces the origin,significance,definition of core concepts and overall design of the research.On the basis of combing and analyzing domestic and foreign literature,the direction,purpose,content and method of this research are clarified.The text consists of the following five parts:In the first part,the research object Y county and 5 selected towns are described.The second part lists the achievements of Y county in rural preschool education in recent years.The main purpose is to establish the management system of rural preschool education in an orderly manner,continuously improve the funding mechanism,and improve the quality of the construction of teachers,so as to improve rural preschool education.The third part discusses the difficulties encountered in the development of rural preschool education.Through the combination of field observation,interview and questionnaire,it is found that there are four problems in the township public kindergartens:slow development progress,unbalanced distribution of human resources within kindergartens,weak teaching staff,poor salary and remuneration,and unreasonable curriculum.The fourth part analyzes the causes of the difficulties faced by rural preschool education.It is believed that the causes of the problems are related to the external restrictions such as the management system,the investment of funds,the concept of parents,and other internal factors such as the consciousness of the kindergarten management,the enthusiasm of the teachers themselves,and the lack of regular and effective professional training.The fifth part puts forward the improvement strategy of Y county rural preschool education.Based on the analysis of the causes,suggestions are put forward from the following five aspects:implementing the responsibilities of the government,establishing a scientific funding guarantee system,improving the construction of the teaching staff,activating the internal motivation of the kindergarten and innovating the concept of parents. |
