In order to analysis the individual value of college diploma,four generations of university graduates from 1980 to 1989,1990 to 1999,2000 to 2009 and 2010 to 2018 were selected for the questionnaire survey and interview research.In terms of the questionnaire survey and interviews of generations of college graduates' university degree on individual value,it is found that the order of influence of college degree on individual value as following: class mobility,knowledge and skills,personal power and rights,occupation and income and social relations.The university diploma has a visible positive impact on individual occupation and income,class mobility and social relations.From 1980 to 1989,a university diploma has shown its effect on individual value in terms of knowledge and skills,occupation and income,class mobility and social relations(network capital),etc.From 1990 to 1999,university diploma showed their effects on individual value when it comes to class mobility,social relations,knowledge and skills,occupation and income,supporting parents,raising children,etc.From 2000 to 2009,a university diploma has shown its effect on individual value in the aspects of class mobility,social relations(social relations,marriage relations),supporting parents,raising children,assisting others and educating children,etc.From 2010 to 2018,university diploma showed their effects on individual value about class mobility,social relations,occupation and income,knowledge and skills,etc.According to the statistics of demographic variables and data related to individual value,it is concluded that variables such as the household registration,marital status,parents career,age of birth,spouse's educational background and working years have an impact on individual value.Among them,the variables of the household registration,mother's occupation,father's occupation,the household registration and working years from 1980 to 1989 are more significant for individual value.From 1990 to 1999,the variables of mother's profession,father's profession and the household registration are more vital to individual value.From 2000 to 2009,the variables of marriage,spouse's educational background and working years are more crucial for individual value.From2010 to 2018,father's career variables are more momentous to individual value.From the relevant data and interview conclusions,that the college degree has impacton individual value is not as noticeable as in the 1980 s and 1990 s,nevertheless it has achieved compensatory effect from other aspects.The theory of “ university useless” is one-sided and female doctors are not difficult to get married.The “ second generation” of family capital is the main reason of leading to class differentiation and uneven educational resources.Therefore,it is utmost importance to realize the fairness of higher education during regions and the diversification of higher education resources.
