As a new type of handmade material,Polymer clay is non-toxic,odorless,colorful and harmonious.In addition to being arbitrarily shaped into various shapes and directly made into various works,it can also be combined with other materials to have a high degree of plasticity and extension.Sexuality,a wide range of creations,can well meet the requirements of primary school art classroom teaching.This research is based on the basic concept of "Compulsory Education Art Curriculum Standards"(2011 edition),Applying polymer clay to the art teaching of elementary school to develop the school-based curriculum of elementary art.Aiming at this research,the author analyzed and summarized the problems of art characteristics and aesthetic education function of primary ceramics,primary school students' academic situation,and the teaching of polymer clay manual courses through literature research,questionnaire survey,case analysis,summary and other research methods.It proposes the development model of polymer clay manual courses in primary school art teaching,and gives course teaching cases,sums up and reflects,aims to help students find a path that can clearly show their individual talents and personal creativity,and promote the development of primary school students'art literacy.This article is mainly divided into four parts:The first part is a comprehensive analysis of the artistic characteristics and aesthetic education functions of polymer clay manual.The second part discusses the teaching basis for the development of polymer clay handicraft courses,analyzes the primary school art textbooks,analyzes and studies the current status of polymer clay handicrafts in primary school art teaching in the form of questionnaires,so as to find out the existence of polymer clay handicraft teaching the problem.The third part,according to the problems in teaching,puts forward the specific development mode of the polymer clay manual course in the primary school art teaching,and shows the practical examples of the polymer clay manual teaching.The fourth part summarizes the results of the development of polymer clay handicraft courses in primary schools,reflects on the problems in the practical practice of polymer clay handicraft teaching,and puts forward teaching suggestions in order to better develop the art polymer clay handicraft courses in primary schools.
