Under the background of the new curriculum reform,China implements the three-level curriculum management,separately national curriculum management,local curriculum management and school curriculum management in order to make curriculum be more suitable to local place,schools and students.School-based curriculum development is a dynamic and continuous process,which needs to be adjusted timely to social development and students' needs.Therefore,school-based curriculum development is a way to promote teachers' professional development.Meanwhile,it can cultivate students' observation ability,practical competence and innovative spirit,promoting students' comprehensive and personalized development.Clay pottery art is an important embodiment of Xiangxi's minority culture.It stands for their minority spirit and values.Having clay pottery art courses in primary schools can spread clay pottery culture and knowledge systematically and efficiently,carry forward the spirit of craftsman,and enhance students' self-identity and pride of the local ethnic culture.It also has been meaningful to practice humanistic education,aesthetic education and national spirit education.In 2017,S primary school started clay pottery art school-based curriculum.However,clay pottery artschool-based curriculum development has been confronted with many challenges and difficulties.Therefore,all educational researchers should concern how to make clay pottery art courses become a scientific school-based curriculum with “local characteristics” and “school-based characteristics”.Based on the current situation of school-based curriculum development at home and abroad,referred deeply Reform Program for Basic Curriculum(Trial)and Arts Standards in Compulsory Education(2011),the researcher uses constructivism as the theory support,and employs various research methods to walk into the real educational practice,researching folk clay art curriculum development in S primary school.Research method contains interview method,observation method,literature analysis and questionnaire survey.This paper explains the development process of Xiangxi clay pottery art,and introduces the history and culture of Xiangxi clay pottery art from four aspects: the historical transition of Xiangxi clay pottery art,the handicrafts of Xiangxi clay pottery art,the practical use of Xiangxi clay pottery art and the cultural implication of Xiangxi clay pottery art.Further,from the perspective of curriculum ideology,this paper analyzes the feasibility of practicing Xiangxi folk clay art into primary school curriculum system.Through on-the-spot investigation,the researcher has found some issues that S primary school has met: a)the development of clay pottery art school-based curriculum is still in the surface,b)teachers are negative in participating in school-based curriculum development,c)student's demands didn't be considered during curriculum development,b)school-based curriculum evaluation system is still meagre,f)the conditions and resources of school-based curriculum development are limited and so on.Totally,Exam-oriented education is misdirected,relevant personnel's less attention to curriculum development,limited resources,insufficient funds,incomplete system all result in the barrier of school-based curriculum of clay pottery art.Facing these problems existing in the development of school-based curriculum of clay pottery art,it is the most important to put forward the solutions.First of all,plan scientifically the development system of clay pottery school-based curriculum.Secondly,improve teachers' ability in the development of school-based curriculum;Thirdly,guarantee fully the students' principal position in school-based curriculum development;Then,construct the evaluation system of school-based curriculum;Finally,complete other measures,such as funding,rules,and organization structure.According to the problems of clay pottery art school-based curriculum development,this paper puts forward some solutions in the hope to make a small contribution to the development of the school-based curriculum of clay pottery art in the large range of primary and secondary schools and the introduction ofintangible cultural heritage into the campus.
