Research purposes:This study studies the influence of 12-week campus football class on the physical health of upper primary school students,in order to provide a better intervention method for improving the physical health of primary school students,which also provides a theoretical basis for the promotion of campus football.Research method:In this study,280 students from 8 classes of Grade 5 and 6 of Liqiao Primary School and Yong'an Primary School in Wuhan were selected as the research objects.Among them,140 of the 4 classes were selected as the control group,and 140 of the other 4 classes were the experimental group.The experimental group and the control group were given three physical education classes per week,while the control group was given normal classes according to the syllabus for a total of 12 weeks.Physical and mental health monitoring was performed before and after the intervention.The content of physical fitness monitoring is consistent with the National Student Health Standards Test.Mental health monitoring uses the Mental Health Scale(MHT)of primary and secondary school students.Research result:(1)Height,weight and BMI were not significantly different(P>0.05);the lung capacity of the experimental group was significantly increased(P<0.01);the mean value of 50m in the experimental group and the control group increased,but only the male group in the experimental group increased significantly.(P<0.05);the score of 50m×8 round-trip in the experimental group increased significantly(P<0.05);the mean number of sit-ups in the experimental group and the control group increased,but the increase was not significant(P>0.05);In the control group,the scores of the sitting position of the sitting body increased,only the female group in the experimental group increased significantly(P<0.01);the one-minute skipping scores of the experimental group and the control group increased,and the experimental group increased significantly(P<0.01).(2)Under the intervention of 12 weeks of campus football activities,the average value of the 8 dimensions of the boys in the control group increased slightly,but the change was not significant(P>0.05).The average value of the 8 dimensions of the boys in the experimental group decreased,among which learning anxiety,The anxiety,loneliness,allergic tendency,and impulsive tendency were significantly lower(P<0.05).In the control group,the average of the four dimensions of anxiety,self-blame,allergy and terrorism decreased,but the change was not significant(P>0.05),the experimental group of female students learned anxiety,anxiety,loneliness,self-blame tendency,allergy tendency,terror tendency,impulsive tendency,the average of the seven dimensions were reduced,including learning anxiety,self-blame tendency,allergy tendency,Terrorism and impulsivity tend to decrease significantly(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)12-week campus football class can improve the physical fitness of upper primary school students.(2)12-week campus football class intervention can improve the mental health status of upper primary school students,improve learning anxiety,anxiety,self-blame,allergic tendency and impulsive tendency,but the performance of different genders is slightly different.(3)Campus football lessons are more conducive to improving the physical fitness of upper primary school students than traditional physical education classes.
