| In the current educational context, the exercise motivation of college students is an important factor that affects their persistence in exercise. The motivation of college students to participate in physical exercise includes both internal and external motivations. However, the relationship between the external motivation of college students to exercise and their internal motivation and exercise persistence is still unclear. In order to clarify the relationship between the external motivation and internal motivation of college students’ exercise and exercise persistence, the research methods such as literature review, mathematical statistics, and questionnaire survey were used to analyze the relationship between the external motivation and internal motivation of college students’ exercise and exercise persistence, with college students in Guiyang as the survey objects and the questionnaire on college students’ exercise motivation and exercise persistence as the research tool,Provide certain reference suggestions for college students to exercise and persist in sexual behavior intervention. The questionnaires used in this article are: Exercise External Motivation Survey Questionnaire, which includes two dimensions:institutional constraints and social constraints; The internal motivation survey questionnaire for exercise includes five dimensions: pleasure motivation, ability motivation, appearance motivation, health motivation, and social motivation; The exercise persistence survey questionnaire includes three dimensions: exercise behavior, effort engagement, and emotional experience. The main research findings are as follows:(1)Institutional constraints and fun motivation have a direct impact on effort engagement. The direct effects are-0.082 and 0.46,respectively.Institutional constraints can also indirectly affect effort engagement through pleasure motivation, with an indirect effect of-0.206.(2)Social constraints and fun motivation have a direct impact on effort and engagement. The direct effects are 0.097 and 0.773,respectively.Social constraints can also indirectly affect effort engagement through pleasure motivation, with an indirect effect of 0.099;Social constraints and appearance motivation have a direct impact on effort engagement. The direct effects are 0.081 and 0.446,respectively.Social constraints can also indirectly affect effort engagement through pleasure motivation, with an indirect effect of 0.031;Social constraints indirectly affect effort investment through ability motivation, with an indirect effect of 0.106;Social constraints indirectly affect exercise behavior through ability motivation, with an indirect effect of 0.083.(3)Fun motivation plays a complete mediating role in the relationship between institutional constraints and effort investment, with an indirect effect accounting for 100%.Fun motivation plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between social constraints and effort investment, with an indirect effect accounting for 88.26%.Appearance motivation plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between social constraints and effort investment, with indirect effects accounting for 86.43%.Conclusion:(1)Both external motivation(institutional constraints, social constraints)and internal motivation(fun motivation, ability motivation, appearance motivation)jointly affect exercise persistence.(2)Exercise internal motivation(pleasure motivation, appearance motivation)plays a mediating role in the relationship between exercise external motivation(institutional constraints, social constraints)and exercise persistence(effort engagement)Suggestion:(1)Physical education teachers should also pay attention to cultivating students’ internal motivation for exercise while imparting skills.(2)To cultivate college students’ correct external motivation for exercise, guide them to view it correctly, and promote their adherence to physical exercise through social constraints. In addition, the implementation of institutional constraints also needs to be adjusted appropriately. |
