Physical education teachers in higher physical education are a special group and play an important role in college physical education.A reasonable evaluation system is an important magic weapon to promote the construction of teachers in higher physical education and guarantee the quality of education in higher physical education.In recent years,the evaluation of teachers of higher physical education has gradually become the key field of higher physical education reform all over the world.The evaluation of physical education teachers of higher physical education is the key link of the construction of teachers of higher physical education,the improvement of teaching quality of physical education and the professional development of physical education teachers.On August 25,2016,the ministry of education promulgated the guidance opinions of the ministry of education on deepening the reform of the assessment and evaluation system for college teachers(hereinafter referred to as the opinions),which pointed out that improving the assessment and evaluation system for teachers is an urgent task to deepen the comprehensive reform of higher education at present and in the future.At present,the evaluation of PE teachers in higher physical education colleges and departments is not perfect,so it has become the consensus of scholars in the field of PE teacher evaluation in China to accelerate the establishment and improvement of the evaluation system of PE teachers in higher physical education.The United States has accumulated a lot of practical experience and research results in teacher evaluation and physical education teacher training,which is worth our exploration and reference.This study analyzes the background and development process of the evaluation of physical education teachers in higher physical education in the United States.At the University of Michigan,University of Houston,Wayne State University and professional sports teachers evaluation scheme of Ohio State University as a case,the evaluation purpose,evaluation subject,evaluation content and evaluation process four aspects has carried on the comparative analysis,and the higher sports colleges in the United States professional sports teachers' evaluation of the common characteristics were summarized.Its main characteristics are as follows:1.In the aspect of evaluation purpose,formative purpose and summative evaluation purpose supplement and complement each other;(2)in the evaluation of the main body,pay attention to the diversification of the main body;(3)in the evaluation of content,clear indicators,clear standards;(4)in the evaluation process,rigorous but tedious procedures,pay attention to feedback and appeal.On this basis,combined with the reality of the evaluation of PE teachers in higher physical education in China,this paper analyzes the differences between the evaluation of PE teachers in Chinese and American higher physical education.The differences are mainly reflected in the following aspects:(1)in terms of evaluation purposes,China emphasizes personnel management,while the United States emphasizes teacher development;(2)in terms of evaluation subjects,China attaches importance to leadership decision-making,while the United States emphasizes teacher participation;(3)in terms of evaluation content,China attaches importance to "morality",and the United States attaches importance to teaching improvement;(4)in the evaluation process,China emphasizes simplicity and efficiency,the United States attaches importance to the results of feedback.Through the comparison of the differences between China and the United States,the United States can be used for reference from the following experience:(1)in the evaluation of the purpose,many aspects,all aspects of the highlight of teacher professional development and improvement experience;(2)in the evaluation of the main body,attach importance to the diversity of the main body and improve the experience of teachers' participation;(3)in the evaluation content,teacher ethics legislation,pay attention to teaching evaluation and teacher improvement experience;(4)in the evaluation process,pay attention to the results of feedback and use,and strive to be fair and fair experience.Finally,it puts forward some Suggestions on the evaluation and development of physical education teachers in higher physical education colleges and departments.(1)Return to the professional development of teachers in terms of evaluation purposes;(2)Increase the participation of teachers in terms of evaluation subjects;(3)Make the evaluation of teachers' morality play a role in the evaluation content,and attach importance to teaching improvement;(4)Promote the portfolio evaluation method in terms of evaluation methods;(5)enrich teachers' materials in the evaluation process,and strengthen the feedback of results and the use of results.
